We had such a fun and interesting time! I went on this tour with my friends and we all really enjoyed it. The guide was incredibly theatrical, charismatic and made the Viking history come alive with great stories and humour. The time flew by, highly recommended!

We absolutely loved this tour! Our guide was so funny and entertaining, and shared lots of interesting stories and myths about the Vikings. It really felt like we were transported back to York in Viking times, which made the whole experience even more special. would definitely book another tour again.

A brilliant tour that shows York from a fascinating side! The tour guide was very charismatic and brought the stories to life in a masterful way! The guide also gave us lots of great recommendations of places to visit after the tour which were all great fun. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to spend a fun and educational time in York.

Even though we have almost no knowledge of the Vikings, Marvel films or characters involved, we had a great time. Marvel fans will love these tours, though it's not specifically aimed at them, as Loki gets lots of mentions. The tour was good value and lasted just long enough. Our host was excellent fun. Kids and those who struggle with mobility will be fine, though may wish to walk a little more slowly and catch up if it's an otherwise young, fit group, and won't miss anything. Seriously worth an evening, highly recommended.

Amazing experience. Helga was an amazing tour guide, friendly, engaging and a brilliant performer. The whole group was looked after and felt included. The stories told on the tour were informative and hilarious. Would recommend to anyone coming to York or for anyone who wants to know more about Norse mythology.

Jumped on part way through the tour, but still had great fun. Guide (Agnar the… can’t remember.. something positive 😆) was knowledgeable and entertaining (just as a good skàld should be!), and the tour ended at a cracking bar! Really enjoyed it, looking forward to doing the full thing next time I’m in York!

Excellent tour and even better guide. 2 hours walking around York on a quiet Sunday evening listening to the stories and sagas of old, each tale being represented by a different location within the nooks and crannies of the city made it even more immersive. Thoroughly recommended, couldn’t rate it any higher if I tried.

This tour manages to combine two of my favourite things when travelling - getting to see all the highlights of a beautiful historical city, and being told mythological and historical stories! I attended with a group of friends and our tour host was the lovely Helga the Skald - she was funny and engaging, and getting the group involved! The trip ending at Valhalla with a cheeky little discount was a nice bonus as well :) Highly recommend!
