It was an hour cruising a short section of the river with 2 turn around stops & most of the scenery was covered by trees and tall plants at rivers edge. Not what we were expecting. I would not go again or recommend it.
Great trip, good value for money and lots of information from our skipper, Andy.
Easy to book online, boarded in good time and chose seats on top at the back. It was a scorching hot day so would advise a hat and suncream!! Captain josh was fab as were the 2 other members of staff who were so helpful and friendly. Lovely slow cruise with interesting commentary, bar on board and felt very safe . Only downside was plastic seats = numb bums!!!!!! Just me and my hubby!!
Fantastic cruise along the river at York. The Captain, Andy, kept us all entertained with his commentary and jokes. Both interesting and relaxing with some lovely views. Highly recommend - great way to spend an hour!
This was a lovely way to relax after a morning spent walking the City Walls and visiting the Minster. The trip seemed to last longer and was full of fascinating facts about York. Definitely one to include as part of your time in York. Enjoy!
Loved it! Andy and his crew were fabulous. Andy's jokes need a bit of work, :) but he made the trip enjoyable and his random stories kept me engaged. The crew couldn't be more helpful and all worked hard to make the experience as enjoyable as they could. Nothing was too much trouble.. Would highly recommend...
Wonderful cruise well worth money very informative and clean boat
Lovely cruise along the Ouse. A nice 1 hour journey and a great way to see some of the sights of York and hear some history and stories about the city from the captain and guide. Nice bar option on board so a wee drink and some snacks available for your journey and the boat was clean and so were the on board toilets. Look out for the cats on the windowsills and roof on your way back.
We are thrilled you enjoyed the one-hour cruise, the onboard bar, and our pristine facilities. You have excellent eyes for spotting our famous feline neighbours on the return stretch!
Went on the boat cruise this week with my family as a very pleasant was to kill some time. Had to queue for a while to get on in the blistering sun as no real shade available but the process of getting on was very smooth. We sat indoors due to the heat, had a few drinks from the bar (my husband said the fruit cider was very nice!) and enjoyed the pleasant views. Being honest, you don’t see much in terms of sights but it’s beautiful riverside scenery, especially on such a sunny day. We couldn’t hear all the commentary but I’m not complaining- they stated clearly at the beginning that you could request if you wanted the volume up. We were happy with the wee snippets we heard and just enjoying the views as a family. Maybe a wee shade pricey for the duration but overall very enjoyable way to spend a sunny hour in York!
