Anita was a great tour guide, very informative, very friendly and definitely worth the trip lived going to the cave house

We took the tour with the panoramic bus and were not disappointed. During almost two hours we went through both modern Matera and the Sassi. Much cheaper that the tuk-tuk tours, with better views to buildings and the landscape and an excellent guide (Anita), explaining in fluent English the history of the city, drawing our attention to interesting sites and eagerly answering our questions. The 45 minutes “free time” allocated, could be pleasantly invested in the visit of a cave church. Highly recommendable

For 20 € simply too expensive! The bus ride goes for 5 minutes through the uninteresting part of Matera, then perhaps barely 10 minutes through the beautiful and interesting part of Matera. Then you have a 45-minute stop, so to speak, at the final stop. Admission to a very beautiful old cave dwelling is included, but you can buy that yourself for 5 euros. There are several beautiful old, historical cave dwellings that you can visit. Afterwards, it goes back for 10 minutes to the starting position in the uninteresting part. A positive note is that they let us out halfway back, since we were staying there. Conclusion: For 20 € simply really too expensive. Better to discover Matera on foot and ask Google or ChatGPT. 🤓

Beautiful panoramic tour with the guide Federico, who was very thorough and engaging in telling the history of his city. The choice of the bus was spot on and very comfortable considering the 37 degrees. I would recommend replacing the initial pass by the Castle, where you don't see anything interesting, with a walking stop on the Sasso Barisano side.
