Guide Anita was very good and helpful.... Very interesting tour
Matera City Tour: perfect organization. A very interesting and educational experience done by panoramic minibus and walks through the Sassi; Anita, our guide, described and told us the history of her city in a very professional and passionate way. We saw fantastic panoramas and views and the cave houses where people lived until almost 70 years ago, punctually described and explained. All immersed in the Sassi of Matera. We had no other stars to give. What can I say..Anita is so in love with her work, and even more so with Matera, that she transmits love and super interesting information to anyone who walks with her. The tour is truly beautiful and interesting. Comfortable? Yes! Especially very appreciated in this heat. Highly recommended
Tour confirmed to the description, beautiful overview of the city, very clear and detailed explanations from Anita (in Italian and in English), it does not replace a walking tour but it relieves the legs, especially in a city like Matera.

The ride on the panoramic bus with Anita was a real experience. Such a guided tour is simply a MUST when visiting Matera. Anita provided us with a lot of interesting information about the city, its buildings, and the history in an extremely friendly and competent manner. The language of the tours is English and Italian. (Unfortunately, nothing is offered in German.) The most impressive thing is to visit the Sassi from the inside, e.g., the Casa Noha or the cave churches.

Excellent and well-organized tour. In 90 minutes you cross the Sasso Barisano and the Sasso Caveoso, with views of the Gravina and the Murgia Materana Park, a stop at San Pietro Caveoso and included entrance to the evocative Casa Cisterna. Anita, knowledgeable and engaging, clearly recounted the history of one of the oldest cities in the world: from the Metellana Tower and the Tramontano Castle, which remained unfinished after the count's murder in 1514, to Togliatti's denunciation in 1948 and the clearing of the Sassi started in 1952. Nicola drove with great confidence. The 10% discount on souvenirs was also appreciated. Only practical limitation: no restrooms at the agency or at the stops; with children, it is better to plan ahead. In-depth experience and absolutely recommended.
