As much as the panarama views were amazing, we were disappointed that our guide/driver didn’t speak English. We signed up for an English tour and expected a knowledgeable English speaking guide that would give us information about the city of Matera. Instead we got long stretches of driving with total silence. Occasionally we would get an English speaking audio with info about the panaramic view we were passing. We have been using Viator for 10 years and I would say that this was the 1st time we were disappointed with the tour.

Before booking a service on Viator—which, as you mentioned, you have been using for ten years—I suggest you carefully read the details of what the service entails and what it offers.
In fact, the Viator listing clearly states that our service features a pre-recorded audio guide available in several languages, including the English you requested...
This means there is no live guide speaking English or any other language; otherwise, there would have been no need for a pre-recorded audio guide..
Ours is strictly a scenic tour service,
It does not include a tour guide who speaks English or other languages...
That is a different type of service that we do not offer.
Next time, please pay closer attention and get better informed, instead of badmouthing a service that is clearly described on Viator—a platform you’ve been using for ten years...!

Le consiglio prima di richiedere un servizio sù Viator, che come scrive usa da dieci anni... di leggere attentamente di cosa si occupa e cosa offre.
Sù Viator infatti è descritto chiaramente che il nostro servizio è previsto di audio guida pre-recorder, in diverse lingue compreso l' inglese richiesto da lei...
Questo significa che non c' è una guida che parli inglese o qualsiasi altra lingua, altrimenti non ci sarebbe stato bisogno di un' audio guida pre-recorder.
Il nostro è prettamente un servizio di Tour panoramico.
Non con guida turistica che parli inglese o altro...
Quello è un altro tipo di servizio che noi non offriamo.
La prossima volta faccia più attenzione e si informi meglio, invece di parlare male di un servizio chiaramente descritto sù Viator che lei utilizza da dieci anni.... !

Worst guide and experience for 93 Euros
I do not recommend this company or the driver Antonio. It was a waste of 50 minutes and 93 Euros.
Tour was a speaker with only 2 points of interest. He drove very aggressive and not an enjoyable or comfortable ride. Tour and reviews were described as informative with recommendations and friendly.
Viator reached out to the company directly, and Appe refused to give even a partial refund and acknowledge that there was no information about the town given.
I would highly recommend using another company besides Appe.

Reading your review, several inaccuracies become apparent...
I would like to point out that the requested tour was supposed to last a maximum of 40–45 minutes, yet it actually lasted 50 minutes—as you yourself noted—precisely because we visited more sites than originally planned...
During the tour, we made five stops—the standard itinerary for the tour you booked.
Of these five stops, three were scenic photo stops at the most beautiful and evocative locations, while two were for visiting the *Casa Grotta* (a house museum had it shown beyond what the Standard Tour includes ) and the Church of San Pietro Caveoso—one of the most beautiful and atmospheric churches in the *Sassi di Matera*.
This is the standard tour offering, which is exactly what you experienced, as described on Viator, even though the tour ran longer than scheduled.
The driver was not aggressive; he was simply navigating through traffic, which is to be expected given the high volume of tourists.
Finally, another inaccuracy (or falsehood ) is that the cost of the Standard Tour you requested is 80 euros for two people—as is publicly visiblen , including Viator fees , not 93 euros as you stated .
Next time, please be more mindful when booking a service and do not expect more than what is included.

Leggendo la sua recensione, emergono le tante inesattezze scritte....
Le faccio notare che il tempo del Tour richiesto, doveva essere di 40-45 minuti massimo e invece è durato 50 minuti, come da lei scritto, proprio perché abbiamo visto e visitato siti più del previsto....
Durante il Tour abbiamo fatto n.5 soste, che noi proponiamo solitamente durante il Tour richiesto da lei.
Di queste n.5 soste, n.3 sono state panoramiche per fare foto nei punti più belli e suggestivi, n.2 soste sono state per visitare la Casa Grotta ( casa museo , fatta visitare in più di quello che prevede il Tour Standard ) e la chiesa di San Pietro Caveoso, una delle più belle chiese e suggestive nei Sassi di Matera.
Questo è quello che noi proponiamo nel Tour , come descritto sù Viator e che ha visto anche se il Tour è stato più lungo del previsto.
L' autista non era aggressivo... ma era intento a districarsi in alcuni tratti di traffico che possono capitare visto la numerosa affluenza turistica.
Infine altra inesattezza ( falsità) è che il costo del Tour Standard da lei richiesto è di 80 euro per n.2 persone , come pubblicamente visibile , compreso le commissioni di Viator, Non di 93 euro come da lei riportato...
La prossima volta quindi faccia più attenzione a richiedere un servizio, senza pretendere più del dovuto.

A great way to see more of stunning Matera
This was great fun and a fab way to get to see more of beautiful Matera. We were short for time and knew we would be limited in how much we could see on foot so booked the tuk-tuk and saw so much more. Our driver was great, and took us to a number of the view points, as well as to a cave house. It was around 50 mins long and we saw way more than we could have covered on foot in the timescale.

Nice driver, but...
Friendly driver, but 4 in the tuk-tuk is quite cramped for the one in the front. For 3 people is fine

Precise and hospitable
Punctuality, courtesy, and knowledge of the locations
I recommend it as a first panoramic tour of the city to get oriented with the spaces and areas of greatest interest. You don't visit all the most important areas given the time available and the need to travel by road

Good tour to save your feet!
We got to see the major points of interest without having to walk the city on a very hot day. The tour guide was informative.
