Great guided walking tour around the Sassi of Materna. Included an interesting historical overview of the town with fantastic views of each area of materna including the caves. We also visited a cave dwelling & a cave church during the tour plus plenty of time for photos as we walked around. Highly recommend.

It was a very educational tour. We learned a lot about life in the sassi in the old times, the transformation in the 20th century, the importance of the cisterns, the water collection and the UNESCO recognition. We visited one crypt and one house and did a tour in Sasso Caveoso. It is good to start visiting the city with such a tour thus you are better oriented about the site, know what to visit afterwards on your own and where to spend more time. Alessia, our guide, was excellent. We recommend.
Pleasant tour, the views are magnificent and the guide is friendly. On the other hand, the content of the tour was a bit light and the level of French was limited.
