Fantastic guide and fabulous tour
We had a fantastic experience exploring Matera with Teresa! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about the history and culture of this incredible city.
I would have given 5 stars but going over by 40 minutes was too much
Matera is a suggestive and enchanting city, deservedly a UNESCO heritage site, and the best way to visit the Sassi is to do it with Matera City Tour, in particular with the very nice and very well-prepared Giuseppe, the guide who will serenely and lightly lead you on a pleasant 2-hour dive into the past. It should be emphasized that Matera City Tour, unlike other agencies, provides the whole group with radios and earphones for listening to Giuseppe's explanations without interference. Highly recommended.

Our local guide Mario gave us a wonderful overview of life in the Sassi. The visit to the Cave house and Rupestrian church was fascinating and informative. Our family of six with little one were well looked after. We walked past all the major viewing points, squares and churches which was an ideal introduction to Matera.
The guide Giuseppe is very knowledgeable and helpful. An experience that I highly recommend.
