We had ever such a good time. A lovely journey through the moors while Greg told us all about the history and landscape sharing facts and amusing anecdotes. We were well looked after and always felt taken care of. I would highly recommend.

Our day with Greg was the perfect combination of adventure, history, beautiful little villages, and the feeling that we’d simply been invited along by a very knowledgeable friend to show us around his favorite corner of England. Greg took our small group through several charming villages, sharing stories and fascinating bits of local history along the way. He clearly knows an incredible amount about the area, but what made the tour so special was that it never felt like a lecture or a scripted tour. With such a small group, it felt more like Greg was proudly showing off his hometown to friends who had come to visit. Then came the steam train to Whitby — because apparently a regular train simply wasn’t dramatic enough. 😂🚂 It was such a fun part of the day, and having Greg meet us on the other end to direct us around Whitby made everything wonderfully easy. And then there was the lemon top recommendation. 🍋🍦 Greg, you were absolutely right. That ice cream was perfect. I may never again be able to visit Whitby without needing one. We finished the day with a stop at Trenchers for fish and chips, which felt like the only acceptable way to conclude such a thoroughly British adventure. Crispy fish, chips, and a very happy couple. Greg was knowledgeable, personable, funny, and genuinely enjoyable to spend the day with. He didn’t just show us the sights — he gave us a glimpse into the places he clearly loves. Highly recommend Greg if you want to see this beautiful part of Yorkshire with someone who knows it inside and out — and who apparently has excellent ice cream instincts. 🍋🍦 Thanks for a fantastic day, Greg! Well how lovely was this! We live in York and had visiting family over from Scandinavia and they had some spare time that we couldn’t entertain due to work commitments. We heard about Greg’s tours of the North Yorkshire Moors and got in touch. Greg is friendly, knowledgeable and more importantly very helpful with making sure they got to see everything that was of interest them being actual Vikings! The family came back saying they had had a great time and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a tour to anyone visiting the area. If you are coming to York and North Yorkshire, seek out Greg he is a great way to see some of the best of what we have to offer in this glorious area. Well done Greg, thanks again

Greg was amazing. I really enjoyed the scenery and laid back approach to a small private tour with just the 4 of us. I can highly recommend small group itinerary. Greg was accommodating to alterations but everything he suggested worked well. Thank you for a fantastic day

Really enjoyed this trip around Yorkshire. Beautiful landscape and amazing old coastal towns. Transport was great and suited us as it was not to big and slowed us to get to know our host, Greg, who was able to spin us a few yarns and point out interesting facts along the way. Steam train was a real highlight. Highly recommended.
