I felt quite uncertain about visiting Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp; due to the expert knowledge and insight of our Guide 'Mikey' from Tour Insider, having that background information of what lead to these atrocities was valuable as both a visitor to the camp and understanding this time in Germany's history.

If you go on the tour in Summer, bring a. Umbrella and water, as you'll be outside in the sun and heat. Our tour guide Mickey was an extremely knowledgeable historian who thoroughly explained the roots of the Nazi party and the party's affect on German daily life and society. Excellent tour guide who was able to explain a complex history in a simple and powerful way.

Must do tour. I had limited understanding on what the camps really were and this tour gave me so much more insight and knowledge on some of the horrors involved. Our Aussie tour guide Tina has been living in Berlin for 5+ years and was very passionate about all of the knowledge she shared, which added so much value to this experience.
