ポルト発プライベート ツアー：ドウロ渓谷とヴィーニョ ヴェルデ ワイン

We were visiting Porto via a cruise, and I was hesitant about booking a Duoro Valley tour due to our limited time in port (8:00 am to 4:30 pm). I communicated with Pedro from Ten for Tours via email, and he assured me that a day trip to the Douro Valley was possible! The only omission would be skipping the Rabelo boat cruise from Pinhao due to our limited time. This was our second visit to the Douro Valley, and we wanted to experience more than just the usual Port wine tastings. The Duoro Valley and Green Wines tour allowed us to do just that. We first stopped at a small producer to taste Green wines. The winery was extremely small and the visit was nothing special, but the wines we tried were quite good. I will say that it was not a fully immersive green wine experience. There are other dedicated green wine tours that would be better suited for that if that is what you were seeking, but this tour does allow you to taste quality regional green wines. We next visited Favaios, a larger a scale winery where we tasted Moscatel and Port wines that were exquisite. I’m not a huge fan of Port wines, or sweet wines, but everything that we tasted here was fabulous! The winery guide Maria was also fantastic. She gave us an informative tour of the facility, explained how the wines were produced, and then provided us with a nice tasting. We thoroughly enjoyed it and purchased several bottles to ship back home to the US, which is always very telling for us. If we like the wine, we are gonna buy it! We next stopped for lunch at a scenic resturant high in the Duoro Alta region. It was a full meal with regional Portuguese cuisine that included bread, Caldo Verde soup, Bacalhau com Natas (or similar), a pork loin with typical sautéed carrots and cabbage, and a rich chocolate cake. The food was overall good, although the pork loin entree was a bit dry. However, good quality wine and coffee were also served with the meal and we left quite satisfied. We drove along a scenic route back to the ship, allowing us to view the beautiful terrace of the Duro Valley, and to stop for a few pictures. The views were not as breathtaking as the more typical route that I took on a prior visit, but it was great to see the Douro Valley from a different route given that it was our second visit. Also, bear in mind that if we had been able to take the full tour, we would have also seen additional scenic views from the Rabelo boat. So the full day tour is likely incredible. The best part of our tour was having Pedro as a guide. He was very knowledgeable, fun, and engaging. His luxury Mercedes Van was clean and comfortable. We had a great experience, and I would happily choose Ten for Tours again. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide Sarah was absolutely wonderful! Unfortunately, we could only do a half day in Duro, but she made the best of the time. We had a great tour!

Wow! What an absolutely fantastic day we have had today on a private tour with Pedro. We were picked up at our hotel in Porto at 10am and arrived at Favaios for our winery tour & wine tasting at about 11.30am. Maria was our host and she was extremely knowledgeable & friendly. We sampled two Moscatels and a Port which were all superb. Next we had a lovely meal in a nearby restaurant at about 1pm. Then at 2pm we were driven to Pinhao where we boarded the boat for an hour’s trip on the Douro. We were blown away by the beautiful scenery! We arrived back at our hotel in Porto at about 5.15pm. We cannot recommend this company highly enough. Pedro is a fantastic, knowledgeable and professional tour guide and we will hopefully return to Portugal and use Ten for Tours again in the near future.

Pedro picked us up right on time, explained everything we were going to do and see in detail, and then executed a flawless tour! Very knowledgeable, entertaining and enjoyable day. Everything was a highlight but the vineyard and wine tasting was spectacular. A must see if visiting Porto and be sure to ask for Pedro! 5 Stars!

Great day with Pedro, we only booked 1/2 day tour but it was so much more than expected, great tour guide in Pedro, very knowledgeable and friendly, he made us feel at ease, great winery and he made excellent wine choice, winery tour was private , personal and informative , lunch was also exceptional at mountaintop vista, local foods, finally drive thru valley was well narrated by Pedro, providing lots of stops for photo ops. Very nice day

Was promptly picked up, very nice Mercedes van, comfortable, roomy and clean, good air conditioning,, Pedro was knowledgeable well spoken, knew wine industry very well and history,, Pedro was pleasant and friendly offering extra information to all questions, winery tour was private group of 4, very good, Pedro had recommendations for wine selections that where excellent, the lunch site had majestic views and hearty portions along with two wine pairing and and a pre dinner port,,, loved the personal touch’s, glad we didn’t do the commercial port wine tour, had a local farmer give us a fresh picked bunch of grapes as he brought his produce to market, then great views as we traversed the roads back to Porto, excellent trip with Pedro

Spending a day knowing the Douro region was an unforgettable experience. The landscape is simply stunning: a landscape that goes far beyond beauty, because it really touches the soul. Each curve of the road reveals an even more charming view, making the tour special from beginning to end. But what made this experience truly unique was the guidance of our guide, Pedro Carneiro. Extremely attentive, kind and passionate about what he does, he shared Portugal’s history, culture and traditions in an engaging and genuine way. In addition, there were numerous attitudes of care and kindness that made us feel very well received and really special throughout the whole tour.

A great day trip to the valley for wine. Some unique small winery experience. Pedro was friendly and well organised meaning a very smooth trip.

What a wonderful experience from pickup to drop off!! Photo stops, little vineyard, special lunch location…. Sarah was so knowledgeable and our trip to Duoro Valley has been the highlight of our time in Porto- highly recommend!!!

We had an excellent drive from Porto to Lisbon. Our driver Pedro made the trip educational, exciting and pleasurable throughout the whole trip! I highly recommend Pedro and this company !
