I wanted to have a chance to make something that is considered traditional in China for cuisine. While looking around on this website, I found this private class. The location was easy to find and did not have any trouble at all. The photos also helped me find the location quickly. As for the cooking class lesson itself, I enjoyed it. I was rather calming and I had a good time with my friend making dumplings. Despite me being rather bad with cooking, our Cooking teacher really guided us well and showed us the proper way to make them. She really made the overall experience fun. After making them, we were able to enjoy them! Overall, the experience is about one hour to an hour and a half in time. For me friends and I, we were the only ones that were in the class. I would recommend this if you enjoy cooking food and appreciate a calm atmosphere while making yummy dumplings. If I find myself in Shanghai again, I would enjoy coming here again to make dumplings again~! Thank you so much for the experience!!!

Great experience with friendly teacher and yummy recipe. Instructions were easy, kitchen very well equipped.

Awesome time, delicious dumplings. Made it a really fun and easy experience even if you don’t do much cooking. Included my 2 year old seamlessly as well he had a great time!

I really recommend this to anyone who is interested in cooking and getting a more in-depth real China experience. The lovely Wendy gave me very clear instructions to get there, accompanied me to Mama's house and translated the whole class for me. She is very knowledgeable and also willing to help look up even my obscurest of culinary info requests! I am certainly giving this five stars and it was the best thing I did in Shanghai. This course was the best. It is very worth it. Private and homely. The hosts were kind and helpful. The food is VERY YUMMY!

The place was in a cozy workshop, teacher is super friendly and professional. I've never cooked any Chinese food in my life but followed with her instructions, it's not difficult at all. Especially love the moment when we get to taste our own dishes, it's different than what I had in my country. I'm definitely going back to learn more dishes when I come to Shanghai next time!
