Great stories of York Villains, entertainingly told by the fabulous Violet. Horrible Histories with Rum. The Rum was delicious and we purchased a bottle of Dick Turpin, Hickory Smoke Rum. A great way to spend an hour and find out about some less favourable characters from York's history. Loved the shop too 👻 You also get 10% off purchases if you join the "tour".
Really good fun, an informative and funny host and a selection of excellent rums! A very entertaining way to spend an hour, highly recommended.
Vespa was a brilliant host giving us a fantastic history of the names behind the rums. Rums were pretty good too! Highly recommended
We went for a tour with Violet - she was so funny and informative, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting York!
Violet was an excellent host. Very knowledgeable and funny.
Staff all very welcoming, knowledgeable about their rums but also history of the local area to which rums have been named after. Very Fun experience, excellent value, lovely group Size so wasn’t overcrowded and kept it exclusive. All the Rums had amazing flavours, very generous with the number of samples and size of them too. Would recommend!
A well presented tour of rum and villains. Tasting was well explained and very informative. A bit of fun with rum included always a tick in the box.
Absolutely the best rum tasting tour I've been on. Had an amazing insight on the villains more than you hear on the usual tours. Got to try a great selection of rums 6 included in the tour and then your asked if you would like to try more after. We got very lucky has we were the only couple on the tour so felt like VIPS. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, with a dark side which was great. Thanks to VIOLET!!!! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and recommended it to friends 30 seconds after walking out the shop.
Violet was an engaging and funny host. Great info and kept everything fun and nicely paced. The rums were fantastic (esp the honeycomb). Thanks
Violet was our guide, she was absolutely fantastic. As were the other ladies in the shop. Tasty rum.. line your stomach before!
