If you are staying in Vancouver, this is a great way to visit Butchart Gardens and Victoria. The ferry ride to the island is an added bonus - the sunset on the way back was amazing. Steve, our driver and tour guide was very knowledgeable and a great story teller. It is a long day but well worth it.
The driver was safe, courteous, knowledgeable, and spoke of the local indigenous populations history and customs. The gardens were beautiful and we wished we could have a longer experience. I would recommend our driver Leslie Mildiner for any future adventures
It was absolutely gorgeous! A delightful view at every turn. The best of the many botanical gardens I've seen.
This is a long day -be prepared. We left at 8 in the morning and due to ferry delays, did not get back to hotel until 10 pm. How much you enjoy this day will probably depend a lot on you driver/guide. We had Simon, who did a good job describing local sites , Vancouver lifestyles while driving a full bus load of people
Long day, very long day. No provision for time for lunch or dinner. The Buchert Gardens were gorgeous and highlight of the day.
It was easy to find the tour operators at the designated place, the driver was friendly, very informative, and very patient with us all. Well worth the money. Bus was comfortable. Lots of time to view the gardens and see a bit of downtown Victoria.

It was a fun day. Our bus driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable about everything. He gave lots of history and interesting facts wherever we were during the day. We took the small ferry to Victoria and the large ferry back to Vancouver. The ferries are nice. It was a bit windy and chilly outside but there were many places on the boat to hang out. Butchart Gardens was beautiful. Victoria was also a very beautiful city. My only wish was that we had more time in each place but since it was already a full 13 hour day, that would have been too long of a day. You are on your own in the Garden and in Victoria. You may want to do a bit of research to see where to spend your hours at each location. . Highly recommend this tour. Beware, you may be enticed to come back again.

Although long this tour was enjoyable. In case anyone wonders, 2 hours an adequate time to visit Buchart Gardens. Our guide was exceptional and made a long day enjoyable.

It’s a full day but Andrea was great. Everything was seamless and comfortable. It was a great way to get additional information about Vancouver island and Victoria that we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. The ease of having everything taken care of for us was relaxing.
