We booked a last minute trip away to York for my birthday and discovered Ben's York on a fork whilst looking for some activities to do whilst there to take a visit to the yearly food fair. We are very glad we did. Ben was super knowledgeable and a really friendly guy, not only about food but also some of the town's history. He was absolutely the perfect guide to take us around York and discover what it had to offer. Especially if you would like to try local dishes in the area with not only a great history and tradition, but also modern twists. The food and drinks selected in this 3 hour tour were all such amazing quality and the Yorkshire pudding at the end was probably the highlight for me, a simple dish but done so well (you could have a desert option too). He also takes dietary needs into consideration, so let him know if you have any allergies! From authentic fish and chips, to gin tasting, cheese and chocolate to tacos, plus more, you will not leave hungry and you certainly will want to take some of the produce back as a souvenir. We had a nice group size of about 10 to 12 people and we made friends, that we actually went out with a few of them in the evening for drinks together. Don't pass this tour up, it is such a unique perspective to tour York and discover so much about the area, it is worth the price.

Really good tour. Ben was a superb guide who provided lots of interesting york facts. The food and drink stops were all very good with a great selection of different tastes. Great group of people on the tour and would highly recommend doing this .

Well worth the ticket price, Ben is incredibly knowledgeable and engaging and the six venues we visited were excellent. Best macaron that I have ever tasted.

This is one of the best food tours we’ve done (and we’ve done a few throughout Europe!). Ben knows his stuff and had chosen some exceptional venues. There was a story behind every stopping point and all the food sampled was exceptional. We’d thoroughly recommend doing this tour at the start of your stay in York, so you know where to eat for the rest of your visit 😊

Excellent! You'll discover York away from the beaten tracks, but you'll also see and learn a lot about the most famous places and buildings. Ben guided us brilliantly through this little journey of history and food, and he knows a lot! We were allowed to take our well-behaved dog with us, but of course we asked him before and he was so kind to make little changes for us. The food and drinks were delicious, the staff everywhere full of knowledge and very lovely. This was by far the best experience we've ever had and we can't thank Ben enough! Greetings from Germany! Had a wonderful and informative tour on Saturday morning. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, giving a really interesting overview of the history of York and the 8 food and drink stops were amazing. The pace was perfect and the selection of food and drink was great. We finished the three hour tour stuffed and very satisfied. I would definitely recommend, it's a great way to explore York and sample the foodie delights. Thanks for the tour.
