The outing was efficient, and we saw the highlights of the fish market auction process, as well as the old and new areas.

Ito was everything I could have asked for! He did a fantastic job guiding to the good sports, pointing out the facts and also allowing me to enjoy and soak in the morning ! 10/10 recommend!

Nobby was awesome. He had a trainee with him (asked us for our permission prior to which we said no problem) and she was awesome as well. Great day!

Yumi was the perfect guide for us! In addition to the detailed and truly interesting information about the famous tuna auction and the Toyosu Market, she also told us an incredible amount about Japanese history, culture, and everyday life. Because of this, the tour was much more than just a tour of the fish market. An absolute highlight was the sushi restaurant she took us to – a small, authentic canteen where the market employees also eat. We can truly say: That was the best sushi we have ever eaten! Yumi was incredibly warm, likable, and attentive. Since we had booked teamLab Planets immediately afterward, she even personally brought us to the entrance at the end. An all-around great and authentic experience – we would book a tour with Yumi again anytime and can recommend her without reservation!

Our tour to explore Tokyo’s famous fish market scene exceeded our expectations. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we got a prime viewing spot for the action at Toyosu — well worth arriving early with someone who knows the process. There was so much tuna! Luckily at the end of the auction part of our tour we were able to have an outstanding omakase breakfast that was incredibly fresh and delicious. From there, our guide walked us through the original market, pointing out different fish species and navigating us through the maze of stalls with ease. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting an authentic, well-guided look at Tokyo’s massive fish market.

Set your alarm clock and do it! Hiro was a fantastic guide from start to finish! He began with excellent communication on our meet up time and place which made us feel comfortable with him already. We loved that Hiro shared his knowledge and experience, answered our questions with warmth and great storytelling. The tuna auction was fascinating. We especially enjoyed our tour of the old market and enjoyed the best sushi of the trip (and our life time. Really,) Initially, we didn't want to get up so early and we didn't book this tour- but we kept hearing about how great it is. We booked the Toyosu and Tsukiji Fish Market tour and were also able to be there for the tuna auction very early in the morning. Masato was our guide. Masato picked us up at our hotel very early in the morning and took a taxi with us to the Toyosu Fish Market. Once there, he gave us very exciting and helpful insights and explanations about the history of the building, the Tokyo fish market, and, of course, especially about the tuna auction. In addition, he explained a few important facts about fishing and the different types of tuna to us. After the auction, Masato accompanied us for breakfast at a small restaurant that he recommended. There was sushi, freshly caught of course, and it was incredibly delicious! Afterward, we visited the intermediate market, where Masato showed us the various sales stalls and also the rooftop terrace, a little hidden gem, because from up there you have a wonderful view of part of the Tokyo skyline. After that, we took the bus together to the Tsukiji Fish Market, where Masato showed us his personal highlights, and he hit the nail on the head with all his recommendations. It wasn't our first time at the Tsukiji Fish Market, but every stall he recommended to us convinced us 100%! All in all, it was an incredibly great experience! Although you have to get up very early, every second was worth it. Masato was very accommodating, answered all our questions, and is extremely friendly and helpful! We would book a tour with Masato again in a heartbeat; it was a lot of fun!

Bobby was the best tour guide we had in our 10 days in Japan. It was clear he was passionate about what he did. Don’t sleep on Tsukija market. He knew everybody, and was super informative.

Fabulous tour. Hiro was an amazing guide. He met us on time. Explained everything about the auction. We were lucky enough to have won the auction for better viewing and got to see all of the areas of the floor. Would highly recommend.

Great experience viewing the tuna auction at Toyosu. Sachiyo was an amazing guide. Went to a huge effort to accommodate out group of 6. Lots of great information. Then a short trip to Tsukiji outer market and some great street food. Highly recommend this tour with Scchiyo.
