What a memorable day we had in Lucerne and at Mt Pilatus! Our guide was very knowledgable and did the tour in both English and Spanish. She pointed out and / or informed us of the most important sights and history and there was ample time to explore on our own as well! Terrific experience!

We did a day trip from Zurich to Mount Pilatus, via Lucerne. This turned out to be our best tour of our weeklong trip to Zurich. Our guide, Angela, from Best of Switzerland tours was just outstanding. She planned the entire day giving us 2 hours in Lucerne, 3 on Mount Pilatus, and hour cruise on Lake Lucerne. And she kept us engaged throughout the day with interesting information about Switzerland. Couldn’t ask for more. I highly recommend this tour!!

We had a superb experience with Angela our guide and Antonio our driver. The scenery, old town and Chapel Bridge experiences in Lucerne were charming while our experience on Mt Pilatus via the cable cars and cogwheel train was breathtaking. This is a must do for your bucket list.

This is the best tour of the bunch! It is a full day of activity & wonderful sites. The trip to Mt Pilatus is 10/10. Our guide Jorge was also 10/10. Highly recommend!

Absolutely worth doing. Beautiful views from the top. Many alternatives for those who don’t want to climb stairs to the very top once you get off the Gondola. Walk through the caves of Dragon Path or walk along the cliff, pretty level. Awesome panoramic views from the dining area. The cog wheel was also a fun experience back down.

The day was well paced. There was enough time at each location. The guide was knowledgeable with a great sense of humour.

This tour gives you a chance to expérience several means of transportation and allows for some free time to wounder around

The tour overall was good, each location and activity really showed us the natural and architectural beauty of Switzerland. We especially enjoyed the cogwheel train and the boat tour! However, one downside was our tour guide at one point had left us on a section of the gondolas up. We had stepped out to take a picture of the scenery and hadn’t wandered from the landing bay and our group was supposed to go together on the larger gondola up. But he didn’t do a head count and left us and we ended up going up ourselves and reconvened with the main group 2 hours later after the free time. We were worried that we would be left again because we couldn’t see our tour guide as we explored during our free time we ended up finishing our free time an half an hour early to wait by the cogwheel train entrance on the way down. All in all the activities were fantastic and great value for your buck but the tour itself could’ve been a bit more organized and I wish our tour guide had told us more historical details about each of the areas we went to, I can’t say we learned much.

The tour was fine, but i'm not sure it's worth it when you can't see anything from up top because of the weather. The day I went it was rainy and there were so many clouds you could see absolutely nothing, and I think the point of this tour are the views up top. If you just want the experience of getting to the top and of various modes of transportation, etc., then go ahead, but if you really care more about the views, make sure it's absolutely clear skies first.

Well run tour. 2 hours free time on your own in Lucerne and two hours on your own at the top of Mt. Pilatus. Basic guidance provided on sights to see in Lucerne but you may want to do a little research ahead to optimize your time. We had a gloriously clear day and views from Mt. Pilatus were spectacular. Cable car ride up and cog train ride down were fun. Lake ferry ride back to Lucerne was pleasant and relaxing with snacks and beverages available for purchase.
