ルツェルンからピラトゥス山（ボートトリップ、ゴンドラ、歯車付き）

This is a self guided tour, we did not realize this until arriving for the tour at the scheduled Mt Pilatus starting point.

Superb experience, allow about 5 hours or longer if you want to undertake one of the mountain-top hikes. We chose to start with the lake trip and end on the cablecar. In late September the weather was extremely warm and unbroken sun so take suncream. If ferry timetables allow, build in a 60-90 minute gap at Alpnachstad. There are lovely cafés and llake views, but more importantly the queues to board the cogwheel can be cumbersome. On the day we travelled they were almost sold out so at short notice they held back all travellers who had not opted for the 5CHF seat reservation

You need to get a time ticket when you arrive. You will need to scan your qcode multiple times, keep it handy.

This was a glorious golden tour of Mt Pilatus including a boat tour, gondola and cogwheel train. The views and experience overall are unforgettable. We wouldn't hesitate recommending this tour to anyone visiting Lucerne!

Such a great experience and easy to navigate throughout. The morning boat ride was lovely, and we enjoyed a beer while waiting fir our ride on the cogwheel (we got an advanve reservation, as recommended, so only had about 45 minute wait to ride to the top). We then walked around on top of Mt Pilatus for about an hour before sitting down for a bite and glass of wine on the outdoor restaurant at the top. The ride down on the gondola was also scenic, though we almost got off too early. (Be sure to stay on the ride all the way to the end!) Then following the signs to the bus back to Lucerne was another nice, easy walk. Highly recommend this day for anyone as it can be adapted for all avtivity/mobility levels.

We travelled the gondola to the top, then rode the cog train down to the boat and travelled back to train station.

There was no mention at the itenerary that this is a self guided tour. We were waiting for a guide at the meeting point. I had to call tour operator to find out if a gude is meeting. We could have saved money if we just booked it directly. Otherwise whole experience was incredible

Sadly, Pilatus Kulm was covered in clouds when we got near the top and visibility was maybe 20 ft. This was the only day it was completely covered in clouds while we were in Luzern too. We bought the Golden Ticket which worked out great. We had a great boat ride from Luzern to Alpnachstad. The cogwheel train up the mountain from Alpnachstad to the top was the best cogwheel train ride I have been on. With the clouds there wasn't anything to see at the top but on a clear day the views are great. We took a cable car down to Frakmuntegg then a really cool gondola ride to Kriens and a bus back to Luzern, all included in the Golden Ticket. It is a great day trip but try to pick a sunny day.

We loved our trip up to Mt Pilatus!! We hiked around for several hours and ate lunch up at the top as well. We preferred the ability to go on our own and so opted for this ticket. (No guide) Thought it was pretty easy to figure out all the various means and ways to get there and back. Highly recommend!
