The good: This was a great way to see a lot of Lake Como and a little of Lugano in a day. The inbound route to Lake Como and the guide's commentary on the bus was informative and excellent. The boat ride around Lake Como was the best part of the trip. The restaurant in Bellagio that the guide (Sara) recommended for lunch was perfect. Lugano was lovely but of course there wasn't a lot of time to explore. The not so good: Sara was highly knowledgeable about the area and its history; so much so that she could talk endlessly on any topic. One problem was that she did. On the bus she used the PA. Off the bus everyone carried one-way earpiece communicators to hear her. She never stopped talking, going from subject to subject in a stream of consciousness narrative that was 50% unnecessary. Where this became a major problem was when she was trying to communicate the logistics of meetup times and places for the boat and bus pickups. She was unable to definitively state "we will meet at X location at this specific time". Somewhere in the endless word salad were occasional fragments of this information but putting it all together required more attention and analysis than most of us could muster. The group was left completely confused on where they had to be, especially on the final bus pickup in Lugano, where the location was "down the street from the old church where you look for the store with the big M, then down from there". The bus ended up arriving two blocks from that spot, parked behind another bus where it couldn't be seen. Chaos and panic, especially after Sara had told everyone that the bus would depart precisely at 4:05 pm no matter what. Sara, who is a small person and easily lost in a crowd, also should have been carrying a flag so those who wanted to just follow her could have done so from from a distance. This would have been a 5-star tour with a more focused guide.

Great trip, well organized! Boat ride was great, just our group! Guide spoke great English & very knowledgeable & funny.

Had a great day with Marina as our guide - very informative and plenty of free time to explore on our own - a beautiful part of Italy.

This was a beautiful trip. The guide did a good job keeping the group up to date with free time and locations to meet. This trip is a must.

Loved Lake Como and Lugano. Amato was a great guide. Antonio our driver did a great job. We thought the boat ride was so beautiful.

Great overall birds eye view of Lake Como, Bellagio and Lugano. Not a very active tour, lots of sitting traveling on boat and bus, however, you get to see a lot of that area in a short period of time. The driver and tour guide were wonderful. Gave some history, is from Lake Como. A little hard to understand as so many folks on the bus were talking.

What an amazing day! It started of with a nice coach ride and seeing some amazing views, followed by a boat cruise just for our group only with a lot of space to move around and this was our favorite part of the day. Marika gave us so much info in detail and a lot to learn from. They then allowed us to take some time in Bellagio for lunch which was so beautiful, this is something we would of not known about if we went by train to lake Como alone, so a great day indeed. We ended the day with a stop in Lugano for snacks and shopping (we advise you to take the tram to the top opposite the train station and have an ice cream with a view of the lake at Anacapri Ristorante!!). Thank you Marika and Claudio the driver. I am coming back again!

this is a great way to visit Como ( private 45 min boat ride) Bellagio ( 2 hours free time and Lugano ( 2 hours free time). it covers a lot in the time you are on the tour. the meeting place was easy to find either google google maps- staff was waiting. bus very comfortable. claudio the driver was terrific and safe. driving is not easy with such a big machine. best of all our guide Marica!! she was fun knowledgeable gave great recommendations and really makes it seem easy - but it’s not!!! she has to count heads and send multiple reminders about meeting times. busses and boats can’t wait. i highly recommend this day trip.
