It was a fun experience. The staff were very nice and helpful. Riding around the trails was beautiful. It was a windy day, but the horses didn’t mind. It was rainy off and on and rain gear was provided. Coffee/tea/hot cocoa were available before and after the ride. The best part was that riders could choose between a slower ride or a faster ride. I have experienced many trail rides in the past and have never had the option to go faster. In the faster group we trotted and cantered at times. It was so exciting to have that option. This outfit was very professional and is highly recommended.

It was okay experience, the staff wasn’t too friendly and the path is not pretty. We have booked a different one this time and it was like a day and night experience.

We had a brilliant experience today, my sister, mom (80 years now) and me! Loki was kind and responsive, and it was fun that we were divided into two groups, so Mom was confident on the step group because I got a little tickled. Informative fim before the ride pg we felt safe!

Our family of 6 had a wonderful time. The pickup from Reykjavik went smoothly, and our horses were delightful. I'm an experienced rider, and really enjoyed tolting, the Icelandic horse gait which is incredibly smooth. We were very lucky with beautiful weaather and flowering lupines everywhere. They asked us our experience level, and gave us appropriate horses. Some of our family did the slow option, which walked the whole time, and they enjoyed. The rest of us went with the fast group, which is great for the slightly more adventurous. We all got to tolt!

Wonderful experience. Before coming I had a lot of questions. The tour operators were very responsive and kind in answering all my questions. Once there I was matched with a horse named Bliki (spelling?) who was the kindest chillest guy. Our guide was very fun and committed to making sure everyone had fun and stayed safe. Rode in a small group of 4 + guide, all people with previous riding experience. We did get to do the tölt and canter on the trail, got great views of nature, saw lots of flowers, and heard some local information and history. My horse was very devoted to pacing rather than the tölt or canter, so it was a little bumpy, but I’ve never ridden a pace before so that was a cool new experience in and of itself.

Any stage of rider can enjoy a breathtaking ride on one of these beautiful unique horses. The girls leading us were great and the horses were easy to manage.

I had a great time on my tour. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They explain everything really well. The horses are well taken care of. They have 200 horses there. The horses get a lot of time off and are not over worked. The train is phenomenal. We were riding on well taken care of trails, alongside lava fields and blooming lupine flowers. The group was quite large, but they separate the beginners and advanced riders, so it was ok. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Friendly easy pick up and drop off, as well as check in experience. Great staff and instruction provided. Had an amazing time visiting with the friendly Icelandic horses, and loved the little extra time at the end in the paddock after dismounting to visit with them. Amazing time. Next I’ll go for a longer one for sure!

This was a truly awesome experience. The staff was friendly, personable, knowledgeable and just a pleasure to work with. The weather was beautiful, the trail was well maintained and easy for a beginner like me but also for seasoned riders. I HIGHLY recommend this tour for any and everyone looking to add some fun and excitement to their visit!
