Wonderful tour of Casco Viejo! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and fun! A “must do” for anyone visiting that area!

Alex, our guide, was very knowledgeable. He was clearly passionate about the history, and shared a lot of good information. He was also very personable. Good experience, definitely recommend for anyone that wants to learn more about how Panama came to be.

We had a wonderful tour of Casco Viejo with Alex. Even the day before the tour, Alex personally reached out to welcome us to Panama and confirm the pick-up time, which was a really nice touch. It already made the experience feel more personal than just an online booking. He picked us up at our hotel right on time, and as it turned out, we were the only ones booked that day, so we basically had a private tour — which was fantastic! Alex showed us around Casco Viejo and gave us lots of interesting information about the history, the beautiful buildings and the old walls that tell so much about the history of the area and its past. We visited a beautiful church, where he also gave us a great explanation, and even went into a museum that was already on our list. We were very happy to have Alex show us around there as well. We loved walking through the beautiful, incredibly clean streets and taking in all the different architectural styles. We also had plenty of time to sit down, enjoy the atmosphere, people-watch and ask Alex questions. What we especially appreciated was the personal touch. During the tour, Alex shared a little bit about his family and even showed us a photo of his daughter. It was a small thing, but it made the experience feel very personal and genuine. He also took us all the way down to the waterfront and to a lovely little street with handmade souvenirs. At the end, while he went to get the car, we offered him a drink as a small thank-you. Then, of course, it started raining! Alex came back with an umbrella and made sure we got into the car one by one without getting soaked. Such a thoughtful touch! Alex is friendly, knowledgeable and speaks very good English, which made the historical explanations so much easier to follow. We had a really lovely experience from beginning to end and would definitely recommend Alex!

We had an excellent experience on the Legends of Casco Viejo Tour with Alex Biggs. Alex was punctual, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the history and culture of Panama City. What really makes his tours stand out is that they are not simply a rehearsed routine. Alex explained that you could take the same tour again the following day and experience a few things differently, while the historical information and his impressive knowledge of the city would remain just as detailed and precise. This makes the tour feel natural, personal, and unique rather than scripted. Alex did a fantastic job bringing the history of Casco Viejo to life, sharing interesting details and stories along the way. If you're visiting Panama City and want to really understand Casco Viejo beyond just seeing the sights, I highly recommend this tour with Alex Biggs. Alex was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable about the city being a native. We loved seeing all of the roots of Panama City!

Our guide was Alex, and he has a deep connection to Casco Viejo which he communicated via anecdotes and stories sprinkled throughout the tour. Casco Viejo itself is not very large, however the tour lasted a very entertaining 2 1/2 hours. This is not a food tour, but a history tour that takes us through the founding of Panama City to current times. There were 2 stops in churches where we had to pay $2 each to enter which was unexpected, but worth it. It was all around a great tour and gave me a feel for Casco Viejo.

My tour with Alex was excellent. He clearly puts real effort into learning his subject, and having grown up in the area, he layered in personal stories that really brought the neighborhood to life. I especially enjoyed his insights on how the city has changed and developed over the years. I left with a much deeper appreciation for Casco Viejo. Highly recommend!.
