I enjoyed my full day tour of Samarkand with Amira. She was friendly, intelligent, engaging, and gave a concise history of the captivating places we visited. The tour had a natural, unhurried pace, and Amira answered my questions with patience and charm. Registan Square and Shah-I-Zinda warrant multiple visits (at different times of the day), and I thought the 1st introductory visit with Amira gave me good insight for my later visits to these magnificent places.

The best tour I have in Uzbekistan. Tour guide Amin is amazing - kind friendly humour knowledgeable considerate! Also tried the best Plov here recommended by Amin - indeed no other places better than Samarkand! Love the city so beautiful and long history, first university so advance in astronomy , what a pity that wars had destroyed many sites. Must come if you ever visit Uzbekistan.

This was an amazing full-day tour of Samarkand! Amin (Madamin) is a truly gifted guide—highly knowledgeable, friendly, humble, funny, and charismatic. He picked us up at our hotel and expertly guided us around the city, covering all of Samarkand’s major sights while spending just the right amount of time at each one. Even our delicious plov lunch was perfectly timed. We enjoyed every minute of the day. We had a fantastic private tour of Samarkand as a family. We had previously done walking tours in both Tashkent and Bukhara, and although the private tour in Samarkand was more expensive, it was definitely worth the extra cost. Our guide Amin was absolutely brilliant and really made the experience for us. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very engaging, but most importantly, he allowed us to explore at our own pace. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to ask questions, stop when we wanted to, and spend longer at the places that interested us most. He was also very accommodating to us travelling as a family. Having a private car as well as a guide made a huge difference. It made getting between the different sights much easier and more comfortable, particularly with children, and meant we could concentrate on enjoying and learning about Samarkand rather than worrying about logistics. Compared with the walking tours we did in Tashkent and Bukhara, this felt much more personal and engaging. Our guide really brought the history of Samarkand to life and made the day very memorable for the whole family. We would highly recommend the experience, particularly for families.
