Farruh gave us a really nice tour to several spots - Amir Timur Mauseleum, Ulug beg observatory and museum, Paper museum Konigil, Daniel,s thumb, and finally magnificent Shah izinda. With very good explanations in good English and calm driving from spot to spot.

Farrux was our guide and from the very first moment he picked us up at our accomodations was terrific. He arrived here early and we talked about the day ahead so we could make sure we were all on the same page. At each and every stop he was a fountain of historical knowledge, of which Samarkand is so full. We have one of our party with mobility issues and Farrux was so considerate everywhere of those needs. His car was super clean and comfortable, even in the 35 + weather. Farrux suggested a wonderful kabob restaurant for our lunch, which was absolutely delicious and an oasis of cool. Please consider hiring Farrux for your Samarkand tour. He knows English, Russian, Tajik, Farci and is learning Mandarin for his clients.

Recently visited the family on a sightseeing tour of Samarkand - and still impressed! The city has really come off the pages of Eastern fairy tales. The mosaic wants to be seen indefinitely. Parvina's guide told live stories rather than dry dates, making it much easier to remember and get into the atmosphere. Particularly memorable is the story of the Timur era and how these grand structures were built. The Gur-Emir Mausoleum is a place with incredible energy. You stand there and literally feel the breath of history. Special thanks to guide Parvina— she did not just give a lecture, but engaged in dialogue, answered any questions, suggested the best angles for the photo. Time has passed by unnoticed. I am very glad that the acquaintance with Samarkand started this way: in one day it was possible to both learn a lot of new things and to feel the flavor of the area, as we visited the Takhtakaracha pass, the mountains and the river were impressive. We will definitely come back here again to discover new corners of this amazing place.
