Our walking tour with Alfred in mid September was excellent! We learned so much about York and its history. We covered a lot of ground moving around the city. Also, we learned that Alfred is a fan of Premier League soccer which my husband and son are as well so they had a great time talking about football! We so enjoyed getting to know about York with Alfred. I highly recommend booking a private walking tour with York Tours!
Alfred met us at our hotel and took us on a fabulous walking tour around old York town. Alfred was delightful and very knowledgeable. He also had a knack of relating the history to current times. Mary and I had a very enjoyable experience. Alfred was very accomodating to allow us rest breaks. I would highly recommend this walking tour as the best way to see and understand York . Simply outstanding.

This is the best tour we have ever taken. Alfred was truly a delight and a gem. He is a wealth of information and history buff. Taking a private tour with him provided the opportunity to chat about so much history, linger at places, and have every question answered so thoughtfully. Next time we go to York we will be seeing him. He wrote a book, BTW!
