On the excursion, we were lucky to be accompanied by guides Moo and Stitch. The truth is that they made this experience much more entertaining and fun. Their good humor and the great treatment they offered us is undoubtedly remarkable. Plus, Moo even acted as our photographer for Instagram. This experience is incredible in itself, but going with people who know their stuff, who put a smile on everything, and who clearly enjoy what they do, improves the experience much more.

Taking the excursion to Chichén Itzá with Ekinox Tours has been, without a doubt, one of the great successes of our trip through the Yucatán Peninsula. From the first moment the organization was impeccable, but what really transformed this visit into an unforgettable memory was the exceptional work of our guides, Carlos Moo and Stich.
Having the opportunity to tour the archaeological zone at the hands of two authentic Mexicans of Maya descent makes a huge difference. Their love and respect for the culture is not something they recite from a manual; they have it in their blood and they pass it on to you in every explanation. Not only did they teach us the secrets of the architecture, astronomy, and ancient history of the Maya, but they also shared valuable personal experiences with us.
Those experiences and anecdotes opened our eyes to understand not only the fascinating past of this civilization, but also the present, the reality, and the cultural richness of the current communities that inhabit this area of Yucatán.

Magnificent excursion that you cannot miss if you come to the Riviera Maya. Our guides Carlos Moo and his colleague Stitch were excellent guides and explained the Mayan culture to us in great detail.

Wonderful Chichén itzá
Wonderful experience!!!
Pluses: knowledge of our guide “stitch” is awesome. Value for the money…splendid!!!…we had the opportunity of visit Chichen Itzá and learned so many things about the Mayan culture thanks to our guide.
We had also the opportunity of visit and swim in cenote Chichikán for a refreshing experience.
Overall..a very nice experience.
Down: meeting point…. Not a well organized item…. We received confirmed note about a specific meeting point and the personnel who took us were in another part of the hotel looking for us. Due to this, tour was delayed.
Besides this…. Tour recommended!!!

Well organized full day
It was great, so you see a lot and don’t need to worry about transportation. Guides are friendly and bus comfortable.
We were a full tour bus of people but the group gets divided over two guides. Depending on what language you speak the group can be quite small, like 8 people, or it can be 20. Not all language gets the same info at the same time, but it is roughly similar.
Of course it’s a tour and you can’t control your own time. Chichen Itza is very large and you could spend the whole day there, but going with the tour a few hours is good start. It’s a shame the grand museum is included in ticket but you don’t get to see it.
The buffet lunch was very nice, tacos, rice, pasta all kinds of meat and fish. Fruits and dessert and fresh drinks (not included). They spend a lot of time at the Maya stone gift shop which could be spent elsewhere in the town or Chichen Itza.
If I had a car I would do it alone but going with a tour is the second best option, and Ekinox are a great company you can trust. They are punctual and care about the work.
Oh wear a hat when visiting the ruins, drink lots of water and bring water shoes for Cenote. The lunch is late in the day so bring some snacks too.
