Florence is very unique. The architecture and history was incredible. Unfortunately, it was raining when we went so we chose to leave early. That being said, our tour guide, John Jackson, was the best. He accommodated us with any request that we had. He made us feel like we were family. When we got to Lucca, he found us a great restaurant and then gave us a highlighted tour of Lucca. We all joked and laughed with one another and it made for a fun and amazing day.
This was a full day private tour to Lucca and Florence. Our Guide Giorgio was the absolute best. He was able to alter our tour to suit our interest. Lucca was great, easy to navigate and our guide gave us great instructions on what to see. We had a fabulous lunch as recommended by our guide with spectacular panoramic views of a Tuscan valley. Giorgio easily navigated thru the city center so we were able to see exactly what we wanted. It was a great day of traveling thru Tuscany.
Maurizio showed us parts of Chianti we never would have discovered on our own - and certainly are impossible to visit via tour bus. He had deep knowledge of the region and is justifiably proud of the local culture and heritage. We would highly recommend a day or multi day tour.
