Chris was an awesome tour guide, very knowledgeable about the show and filming locations and very enthusiastic about the Dales. He included information about the history and even some vocabulary lessons. He was very flexible and easy to work with. Of our almost three weeks in Great Britain, this tour was definitely a highlight. I would highly recommend booking this tour that accentuated the beauty of the Dales and why it appealed to Alf White so much.
Excellent visit to the Yorkshire Dales, including extra sites at our request. Chris was an excellent guide with lots of information and knowledge to share. Can't say enough positive about the day!
Very enjoyable trip. Fantastic scenery. Varied itinerary. I enjoyed the churches from small to large. Obviously a great draw for All creatures fans. Appreciated hotel pick up and return. V comfortable vehicle. Happy day.

We couldn’t have been more impressed with the quality of our tour. Chris communicated with us in advance of our tour, making it easy for us to know what to expect and what to do to make our tour as smooth as possible. He picked us up on time, explained what we were going to do, and we were off. The tour itinerary was well thought out and exactly what we wanted. But he took the time to show us even more than originally planned. He listened to what we were saying and he adjusted our itinerary as we went along. Several delightful surprises. We were so pleased. We would recommend Chris to anyone who wants more than a cookie cutter, big bus tour. He was great.
Really nice day with our guide and driver Pete and two other couples. Pick up and drop off was exactly on schedule. We had time to get out of the mini van at various stops along the way which included Rippon Cathedral and All Creatures Great and Small landmarks. Lunch was ordered ahead of time for the ‘Drovers’, very good and as pre ordered maximised our time in the town to look around. We were staying out of town in a motorhome and decided to go on an organised tour. I can not recommend this enough, we would never of done a much and had some much insight if we had hired a car and did it ourselves. Pete is great l, lots of knowledge of the area, history and the TV series. Would certainly do another trip if we find ourselves back in York. (It will be a while before we get through the Wensleydale cheese we bought!)
Fantastic tour with Grand Yorkshire....Pete was the perfect tour guide.....saw all the important places including the museum in Thirsk and lunch at the drovers arms.

Highly, highly recommend! Pete, our guide, regaled us with not only historical facts & facts related to the world of James Herriott, but also linguistic tidbits about how the towns are named. The tour was worth it in every way. Eating at "The Drover's Arms" was delightful. We saw the Dales & Moors exactly as we had hoped, and so much more. What a treat!
