This tour will take you across the historic centre of York and stop at a number of independent businesses, each one of which will provide you with generous examples of their fabulous food & drink. You'll get to enjoy Yorkshire Cheeses, Fish & Chips, Tacos, Chocolate and Pintxos with Sherry before choosing a sweet or savoury finale with a well earned Yorkshire ale! While walking between the venues you'll hear a bit about the history of York and pass by several of the cities major attractions such as York Minster, Cliffords Tower and the City Walls. Your guide is a York based food writer who knows the city and its hospitality scene intimately. He's been featured in the Lonely Planet guide, is a coordinating judge for the Guild of Fine Food and helps run York Food & Drink Festival....You can recognise him by the cutlery tattoos!

One of our favorite tours!!
We had the best time on this tour! Ben showed us some amazing places and the most delicious food! Ben was a great tour guide and this was probably one of our favorite tours this trip!!

Don't miss out on York on a Fork
Well worth the ticket price, Ben is incredibly knowledgeable and engaging and the six venues we visited were excellent. Best macaron that I have ever tasted.

Best Food Tour Ever
This is one of the best food tours we’ve done (and we’ve done a few throughout Europe!). Ben knows his stuff and had chosen some exceptional venues. There was a story behind every stopping point and all the food sampled was exceptional. We’d thoroughly recommend doing this tour at the start of your stay in York, so you know where to eat for the rest of your visit 😊

Do it!
Excellent! You'll discover York away from the beaten tracks, but you'll also see and learn a lot about the most famous places and buildings. Ben guided us brilliantly through this little journey of history and food, and he knows a lot! We were allowed to take our well-behaved dog with us, but of course we asked him before and he was so kind to make little changes for us. The food and drinks were delicious, the staff everywhere full of knowledge and very lovely. This was by far the best experience we've ever had and we can't thank Ben enough! Greetings from Germany! Wonderful half day tour
Had a wonderful and informative tour on Saturday morning. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, giving a really interesting overview of the history of York and the 8 food and drink stops were amazing. The pace was perfect and the selection of food and drink was great. We finished the three hour tour stuffed and very satisfied. I would definitely recommend, it's a great way to explore York and sample the foodie delights. Thanks for the tour.
