Itinerary

Lion Rock
Admission not included120 min

Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress and palace built by King Kashyapa during the reign of 473 – 495 which is standing majestically 660 feet straight up. It is located in the northern Matale district near the town of Dambulla in central province of Sri Lanka. The word Sigiriya or the Sinhagiri means the Lion’s Rock where you have to climb up 1200 steps before you reach the Lion Rock Fortress on top of Sigiriya. There are several platforms that break up the steps and allow for a little break if you need it. Today Sigiriya rock fortress is one of the most famous Archeological Treasure and UNESCO named Sigiriya rock as a World Heritage in 1982 under the name “Ancient City of Sigiriya Sri Lanka”.

Pidurangala Royal Cave Temple
Admission not included180 min

The Sigiriya Rock Fortress might be stealing the show as a must-visit destination in Sri Lanka but the Pidurangala Rock, located just 2.5 km north of it, comes in as a close second; possibly offering even more panoramic views than its counterpart! It is a hidden gem now slowly gaining popularity thanks to the cult of growing Instagram influencers who have sealed the site’s fate, as one of the most scenic spots in the region. However, Pidurangala Rock also lays claim to its own fascinating history. This is closely tied to that of the Lion Rock aka the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, and the king who made it his royal abode.

Hiriwadunna
120 min

Hiriwadunna village, a beautiful rural area in Habarana city. The tour starts with a bullock cart ride near the village pond, and from there, you will experience a boat ride to the next side of the rural village. After a short walk through the paddy fields and vegetable cultivation, you can reach the village house. At the village house, you can relax and taste a delicious Sri Lankan lunch. Then take a Tuk Tuk ride to the tour’s start location. After you finish the tour, you will be taken back to your Location by a tuk-tuk.

Rangiri Dambulla Cave Temple A sacred pilgrimage site for 22 centuries, this cave monastery, with its five sanctuaries, is the largest, best-preserved cave-temple complex in Sri Lanka. The Buddhist mural paintings (covering an area of 2,100 m2 ) are of particular importance, as are the 157 statues.

Bahirawa Kanda temple is very famous tourist attraction in Kandy. The omnipresent statue can be seen from almost everywhere in Kandy city. The importance of the statue of Lord Buddha here is, it is the second largest sitting statue in Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, my smartphone camera was not good enough to capture the sight of the statue down from Kandy city.

Kandy View Point
Pass by

It is located on Rajapihilla Mawatha at 550 m (1,800 ft) above sea level.[1] It provides a panoramic view across Kandy Lake, Sri Dalada Maligawa, the Royal Palace of Kandy and the city centre.[2][3] According to local folklore there was a bungalow owned by a Mr. Arthur, a British tea planter, situated above the lookout, who used to view Kandy by standing on a stone seat under a tree in front of his bungalow.

Nanu Oya railway station
Admission not included240 min

Sri Lanka is a rather small island that is easy to get around with a nice train system connecting big cities. If you are after a short, fantastic train trip in this country, the travels between Ella and Nanu Oya (approximately 8 km outside of Nuwara Eliya) are the best options. Considered to be one of the world’s most beautiful train trips, the ride from Nanuoya to Ella is very popular among locals and tourists, and it usually gets fully booked on weekends. Though the distance is about 65 km, the train trip may take 2,5 – 3 hours as it has to cross over several mountains and pass some towns stopping to pick up more passengers. But the breathtaking landscapes along the way will make your time on train full of awesome feelings. You will glide through stunning views of green lush tea plantations, mountain ranges, then woodland forests and multiple tunnels. Engaging in a conversation with the friendly locals on board with you is also a joy during your train trip

Nuwara Eliya
480 min

Nuwara Eliya was truly a magical stop in Sri Lanka. It was emerald green tea leaves for days, Lake. Flower Garden, and quaint colonial buildings which made me feel like I was at home in the UK. You can tell why they call it Sri Lanka’s little England as soon as you arrive. The weather is freezing, it rains more often than not and there are tonnes of Colonial-style buildings dotted all over the place. Even the tea plantations are named after English cities and counties! I was lucky enough to land in Nuwara Eliya on a super warm and clear day which was quite rare in October.

Ella
480 min

Thats amazing place. You can see nine archers bridge and little adamspeek

Ravana Ella Falls
60 min

The falls have been named after the legendary king Ravana, who is connected to the famous Indian epic, the Ramayana. According to legend, it is said that Ravana (who was the king of Lanka at the time) had kidnapped princess Sita, and had hidden her in the caves behind this waterfall, now simply known as the Ravana Ella Cave. The reason for the kidnapping is said to be exact revenge for slicing off the nose of his sister by Rama (husband of Sita) and his brother Laxmana. At the time, the cave was surrounded by thick forests in the midst of the wilderness. It is also believed that Rama's queen bathed in a pool that accumulated the water falling from this waterfall.

Gregory Lake
Admission not included120 min

Named after Sir William Gregory in 1873, this is a prominent attraction used for water sports and recreational activities. Lake Park, Boat Rides are available. Can be reached by sea plane which takes only 30 minutes from Colombo. At the southern end of the town is Gregory Lake where the holiday makers can enjoy a leisurely walk on the paved walk ways, with swan shaped paddle boats for the more adventurous. There are pony rides round the lake for the kids and even adults, with plenty of fast food stalls located in a separate area where one can enjoy a meal or a snack.

Diyaluma Falls
Admission included180 min

You can see nice waterfall and i think you must want to clib for up and you can bath small water pond

Yala National Park
Admission not included180 min

Yala National Park is home to an extensive variety of 44 varieties of mammal and over 215 bird species, including at least 7 endemics. Among the residents are one of the highest densities of elusive leopards, resident herds of majestic elephants, sloth bears, sambars, jackals, spotted deer, and crocodiles.

Hummanaya Blow Hole
Admission not included120 min

Hummanaya Blow Hole is located in the town of Dickwella, approximately 20 minutes from Tangalle. Known to be the largest blow hole in Sri Lanka, the Hummanaya Blow Hole is a great excursion for all types of travellers. Head over to the quiet town, enjoy a 20-minute walk past a small village; with vendors selling a variety of refreshments and local snacks, until you find yourself ascending a rocky outcrop with stunning views of the Indian Ocean. An Interesting Spectacle Once at the summit, you’ll be in awe when you reach this natural wonder. Be amazed when the water shoots to the sky and splashes back into the ocean, having sprayed all the wide-eyed wanderers standing by. The Hummanaya Blow Hole is a key tourist destination on the southern coast and can be visited at any time during the day. Do keep in mind that by noon to mid-afternoon, the sun rays might be too harsh, so it is best to avoid a visit at that time.

Galle Dutch Fort
240 min

The fort has a colourful history, and today has a multi-ethnic and multi-religious population.[2][3][4] The Sri Lankan government and many Dutch people who still own some of the properties inside the fort are looking at making this one of the modern wonders of the world.[4][5] The heritage value of the fort has been recognized by the UNESCO and the site has been inscribed as a cultural heritage UNESCO World Heritage Site under criteria iv, for its unique exposition of "an urban ensemble which illustrates the interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries."[3] The Galle Fort, also known as the Dutch Fort or the "Ramparts of Galle", withstood the Boxing Day tsunami which damaged part of coastal area Galle town. It has since been restored

Hidden amongst the trees of the Unawatuna rainforests and yet visible across the water from the historic Galle Fort in the Bay of Galle is the “Sama Ceitya”, one of four Japanese Peace Pagodas that can be found in Sri Lanka. Situated on Rummasala Hill, it was built with the assistance of Japanese Buddhist monks in 2005 as part of a plan to build temples of peace in conflict zones. Today, it acts as a symbol of peace for the Buddhist-majority country of Sri Lanka, but its clean, rounded design is intended to represent harmony between people of any and all backgrounds. The immense white stupa that rises out of the Japanese Peace Pagoda is surrounded by statues painted in gold, while a nearby flight of stairs leads to a walkway that goes around the shrine, offering breath-taking views of the jungle, the sea, and the stunning Galle Fort. When stopping by the Peace Pagoda, visitors should ensure that they are dressed modestly and respectfully; legs and shoulders need to be covered.

Amazing tour in heaven

Our very first trip to Sri Lanka was nothing short of magical, and we owe so much of that to our incredible guide, Gagana. Exploring the stunning landscapes and vibrant cities during our round tour was a dream, but it was Gagana’s kindness and gentlemanly nature that truly made the experience special. He turned every stop into a lesson in culture and history, making this beautiful country feel familiar and welcoming to us from day one. We didn’t just see Sri Lanka. we felt its heart. It was a truly memorable tour that we will cherish forever...

Wonderful in every way! Driver and guide Gagana really made this trip special with super safe driving, on time, knowledgeable, flexible, funny and a true Sri Lanka expert. He loves his country and proudly showed us all the highlights. Car was nice and we benefited from his network and friends everywhere we went. Around Sri Lanka with knowledgable driver Gagana

We had an unforgettable journey through Sri Lanka, made even more special thanks to our amazing driver, Gagana. He took us to beautiful places, introduced us to wonderful local restaurants, and ensured we experienced the true spirit of the country. The highlight of our trip was a deeply memorable moment when my husband and I received a blessing from a monk — a truly spiritual experience that Gagana personally arranged for us. We are so grateful for his kindness, knowledge, and care throughout our travels. Thank you, Gagana, for making our Sri Lanka adventure so incredible. We will cherish these memories forever!
