Itinerary
The town of Windsor is best known for its historical links to the British royal family, and it is suitably steeped in pageantry and history. Towering over the rest of the town is Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the English and later British monarchy, and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King. Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. Many of the works of art are still in the historic settings for which they were first collected or commissioned by the kings and queens who have lived at Windsor.
Step back 5,000 years in time to prehistoric Britain as our guide helps bring the history of this fascinating monument to life. Who built Stonehenge? Why was it built? Discover the answer to these questions and the monument’s fascinating link to the Summer and Winter solstice. Come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and visit the world-class exhibition centre, with 250 ancient objects on display.
'The City of Dreaming Spires' is known for its distinctive architecture and holds the unique accolade of having examples of every architectural period going as far back as Saxon times. Wander its quaint cobbled streets on a walking tour of the city with our expert tour guide, who will bring the history and charm of this ancient city to life.

The guide was really organized and explain clearly, everything went as scheduled. We got valuable tips related about where to go first and it save us time.
Leslie (our tour guide) and Christian (our driver) were wonderful. Leslie knows and shares an incredible amount of history and knowledge as well as practical tips for the sites we visited. The day goes incredibly fast but it’s a good way to cover a lot of ground in a short period of time. I highly recommend.
Leslie is very knowledgable with the history of Windsor, Oxford and Stonehenge. Christian is a great driver, leaving on time. The tour is packed with places to go and the cons is that the time to go around is very short for me at least because I take photos a lot. If you dont want to be in a rush or wanted to stay longer in one place maybe choose 2 places to go for a day tour.
Leslie and Christian were wonderful. Leslie was so informative and did a great job telling stories and making sure our day was great!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Day — Leslie and Christian Were Excellent! We had a fantastic day with Evan Evans Tours traveling from London to Windsor Castle, Oxford, and Stonehenge. It’s a lot to fit into one day, but Leslie and Christian made the entire experience easy, enjoyable, and memorable. Leslie was a terrific guide. She was knowledgeable, entertaining, and gave us plenty of interesting history and information along the way without overwhelming us. Her colorful umbrella could be seen bobbing up and down as she kept everyone on schedule while still giving us enough time to enjoy each location. Christian was an excellent driver and made the long day of traveling between destinations comfortable and relaxing. Everything ran smoothly, and the two of them made a great team. We especially appreciated how well organized the entire day was. Seeing Windsor Castle, exploring Oxford, and then finishing at Stonehenge made for an incredible experience and gave us a chance to see much more of England than we could have managed on our own. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to London. If you’re considering this tour, I highly recommend it — and if you get Leslie and Christian, even better! Thanks to both of them for a great day and some fantastic memories!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an outstanding experience with Evan Evans Tours on our day trip from London to Windsor Castle, Oxford, and Stonehenge, and a huge part of what made the day so enjoyable was Leslie and Christian. Leslie was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, engaging, funny, and able to provide just the right amount of history and background without ever making the day feel like a lecture. Windsor, Oxford, and Stonehenge are three very different destinations, and Leslie did a fantastic job bringing each of them to life while also keeping the group organized and the day moving smoothly. Christian was equally impressive. He handled the driving and logistics professionally and made a very full day feel comfortable and effortless. With that much ground to cover, timing and organization are everything, and Leslie and Christian worked together seamlessly. This is an ambitious itinerary, but it was incredibly well executed. We felt like we were able to experience three iconic parts of England in one day without feeling rushed or stressed. It ended up being one of the highlights of our time in London. We would absolutely recommend Evan Evans Tours, and if you have the opportunity to travel with Leslie and Christian, you’re in excellent hands. Thank you both for a fantastic and memorable day!
The tour was efficient, the driver Christian was precise and make us feel safe, Leslie teach us many stories about all the places we were to visit, explained all kind of details. We were a nice group of many places in the world , all super respectful and mindful of each other in the bus. Will recommend 100%
Leslie and Christian were a great team of tour guide and bus driver. We learned a lot and saw a lot but my only complaint was that it felt rushed at each place. Leslie runs a tight ship! And I understand why she has to but I think it’s almost too much for one day or needs to be longer so you don’t have to rush. We got it all in as promised but it would have been more enjoy if not so rushed.
Informative tour for the day! Lesley and Christian our driver did a great job taking us to all three spots, efficiently and with great enthusiasm. My parents and I had a great day!! One note I will make for either elderly or those who have trouble walking around- the tour is packed start to finish, so there’s little time between each venue to either sit or take your time- it didn’t take away from the experience but just a note for those who want a more leisurely experience at each venue. I’d suggest to do them separately if you want to spend all day at Windsor or Oxford specifically. Thank you!
They were fire!! I think they were funny and informative and I was able to have so much fun! Our driver was Mark, and he was great, and our tour guide was Godfried.
