Turns out our party of 2 were the only ones that signed up. We should have been informed of that ahead of arriving. Guide asked if we still wanted to do it, but didn’t indicate if we would get a refund. The point of a pub crawl is to go with a group. The ghost stories were pretty uninspired and we were also disappointed that Mellow Mushroom, a chain restaurant, was one of the bar stops. Do not recommend.
Our guide William Penn was phenomenal. He has vested experience in the history of Williamsburg and genuine love for telling that history. We had a great time and fully enjoyed listening to him relay the stories throughout the tour. Before the tour ended, our group was already discussing the next one and having William as our guide. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting WMBG.
Wonderful guide William! He was so informative and entertaining. Highly recommend:) his voice and story telling were fantastic
Interesting stories and a very knowledgeable host. We loved learning about the local haunts and the offerings at the pubs were delicious.
Best tour we have have been on better than the ghost tour in Boston. The host is a good story teller and funny young man.
Town is great maybe research stories and walk buildings on their own. Just a tough night probably for our tour guide since it was a very small tour of just my friend and I and he definitely exhibited that he wanted to be elsewhere.
They cancelled on me one hour before the tour. Then they called back to say it wasn’t cancelled so I took an uber to the meeting spot and waited. Then they called again and cancelled leaving name in a strange city with no plans. They don’t have back ups so if your you guide doesn’t feel like working you won’t get to go even if you have had it planned for weeks.
Steve was fun to talk to and very engaging!
Steve was so friendly and fun! We also learned a lot.
Enjoyable. Been to Williamsburg 3-4 times but learned some really interesting stuff! Our guide, whose name I have forgotten, was wonderful (he graduated from Point Park in Pittsburgh)
Hello Mike, thank you for the hauntingly fun review! We love hearing that even after several visits to Williamsburg, you still discovered new and interesting stories along the way. We’re also glad your guide made such a wonderful impression and helped make the experience memorable. Thanks again for joining us on the tour!
