VIATOR, VALLARTA TOURS AND BLACK WIND are a fraud. The tour does NOT last 3 hours as promised, they do NOT give bottle of water, impolite and aggressive treatment by the staff and the price is triple what the operator actually charges, pay almost 900 per person and I realized that the operator charges 300 without the intermediation of VIATOR. I definitely do not recommend it, the price paid does not correspond to the experience received. For the paid insurance there are other better options.
The good, we saw lots of whales and really enjoyed that. The not so good in the description of the tour said it would be in English and that bottled water was provided and neither of those things were true. No water and no one on board could speak English. Although we saw lots of whales and thought it was plenty of time I would like to say that we were only out for 2 hours and 15 minutes not three hours as advertised.
We saw about twenty hump back whales. The view was the whale spouting and one of the ten foot flippers in the air along with the whale’s tale coming out of the water. The whale viewing was good however the guide/ boat captain only spoke Spanish and we only understand English.
A real pleasure to observe whales in this place with their offspring I enjoyed this exceptional moment
Dress warm as it's quite cold out on the ocean but the whales are spectacular I want to go again thank you so much
We paid for a three hour excursion and were placed on a boat with others who paid for a two hour excursion, all without the operator notifying us of the change nor making any attempt to acknowledge the error before we departed from the pier. The operator at Los Pienes Pier smelled of cannabis product and made no attempt to apologize for her error. Others on the cruise paid less than half of what we paid. We received a credit of $30 which did not compensate for the mistake. In addition, the boat operator wandered aimlessly in Banderas Bay with no discernible method to actually spot whales. This is NOT the cruise we anticipated.
WOW...Benjamin and his crew were spectacular and fluent in English and Spanish. My biologist friend said they were right about all of the information. A spiritual experience. Molly M
We've seen a lot of whales. The boat is comfortable and goes at a quiet pace. On the other hand, the trip does not last 3 hours but 2 hours. In addition, we did not have a word from the boat pilot during all this time. To summarize, very nice place to see the whales, but do not expect any service, it is just a means of transport.
The weather was fine but we were only on the boat 2 hours not 3. We did see a couple whales and lots of dolphins. There was no narrative or information about whales or the trip. No one from the company ever spoke to us on the boat. It was disappointing
