Watercity Waterpark Excursion Heraklion

The waterpark in particular was a bit of a disappointment from the off. The park boasts about having approximately 45 slides whilst this is true I'm not sure a multi lane side should count as several slides opposed to one slide / ride. There were several rides needing desperate attention. Namely the lazy river had zero currant so it was anything but lazy as you needed momentum to get around. There were missing tiles some of which with jagged edges which needs addressing. Non slip mats need to be added at the bottom of some of the slides as we saw a few slip at these points. A wet floor sign simply does not suffice. On the positive points the payment system for food and drink and the lockers works well and should be commended. The food and drink were good quality and well priced. Having a few clocks with the time would help when around the park to easily know the time for departure.

Two weeks ago, my family and I visited Watercity Waterpark. Unfortunately, our visit resulted in a serious and distressing incident that raises significant concerns regarding the safety procedures and supervision at the park. Despite following the safety instructions provided to us, my 6-year-old daughter and I became stuck inside the Turbo Cyclone slide. We remained trapped inside the slide for approximately 15 minutes. During this time, my daughter became extremely frightened and started crying. I expected a lifeguard or another member of staff to notice the situation and provide immediate assistance. Unfortunately, no one came to help us. Eventually, my husband and another visitor were forced to intervene themselves in order to get us out, putting their own safety at risk in the process. As a result of this incident, my husband sustained a partial ligament tear in his shoulder and is still suffering from the injury. I find it extremely concerning that a mother and a 6-year-old child could remain stuck inside a water slide for such a significant amount of time without any intervention from the staff responsible for supervising the attraction. Based on our experience, I strongly urge parents of young children to exercise extreme caution before allowing them to use the Turbo Cyclone, even if staff or lifeguards advise that it is suitable for them. An incident involving a young child should have resulted in an immediate response. In our case, the absence of timely assistance not only caused considerable distress but also resulted in a serious injury to a family member who had to intervene when no help arrived.

Don’t trust this excursion. They told us pick up would be 10:20am and to arrive 10 mins earlier, we went to location for 10;05 as this was a surprise for my little girl - so didn’t want to risk losing out. At 10:20 I text to see where the bus was, at 10:23am they stated they’d be 5 mins. But they never came. Leaving my daughter heartbroken and us waiting for an hour in the heat wondering what was going on. They ignored all messages/calls - we still have no explanation as to why they didn’t show. We requested a refund and they have only sent us a “partial” refund of £25 after we paid nearly £90 for x2 adults and 1 child for a activity we didn’t get to do because they did not show. If you book this excursion I advise sorting your own means of travel and be wary of their lack of customer service. This experience has ruined our holiday and any confidence in booking anything that would lead to further disappoint or us out of pocket.

Spent all day here. Loved the park, food was great although quite pricey. Taxi price €45 from Hersonissis ( each way) cashless park which saves the carrying of cards/cash.

The water was OK, I’ve been to better, but there were plenty of facilities and I loved the cashless wristbands. However the signage at the entrance isn’t great, we had to ask where you could pick up a rubber ring after walking around for about 10 minutes as it’s wasn’t clear.

this park was amazing every slide and bits here was perfect the only thing that let it down was the pools were dirty it wasn't a very nice environment to swim in but all round staff were amazing and very helpful i will return just hope the pools will be cleaner

Wow…. What a fantastic trip for me and girlfriend spending it for her birthday. We went on a Monday so there were hardly any waiting times for getting on the slides which was amazing. I did however loose my sunglasses but I contacted the park and I spoke to a lovely women called Eleftheria who manage to find my sunglasses, she was then able to organise for one of the transfers to drop them off at my hotel. I would just like to say thank you so much for that. What a lovely lovely Experience!!!! The park was amazing and would highly recommend for the thrill seekers !!!

Rubbish. Would not recommend. A handful of old dangerous slides in the middle of nowhere. Transfer drops you there for about 10:15Am but collection is not til 4:30pm. This is such a long time to spend here and be trapped as you’d do all the slides in 30mins. Waste of money you’re better off saving it and doing something else. We ended up getting a taxi back to our hotel within the first hour of being there. Also some slides are not even attended by a lifeguard. And the lazy river doesn’t move and is filled with bugs, dirt and all sorts as it clearly doesn’t get cleaned.

Self park is amazing!!! Sad, that something wrong with extreme slides (Level 3), not first water park where I was, but first one where after I slide, all the time hit bottom of the pool... Last one when I slide, I hit with heel self slide so hard, that after finish slide I could barely to walk outside pool. Also, funny that lifeguard was 2-5 meters away from me. I saw that he is looking in to me, but not even asked if I'm ok, or try to help go out from pool. Thats was realy something new for me... I understand that these guys/girls need to sit in one place while other having fun, but cmon.. It's your job to help, or at least ask if everything ok... btw, my height is 194cm, and I saw that other guy +/- same heigh, also walking with bleeded heels. Something is wrong with extreme slides for tall peoples, idk... But this is first (maybe of 9-12 of total) where, I barely can walk out by my self of injured heels.

This is a really great park…… buuuut, we found that there was a really strange feeling to the water. There was no salt like most pools in Greece and no chlorine. This did not impact on our day which was great, but we suffered after. As a party of 12, we had 7 people with the runs and throwing up. We can only assume it was the water at the park. Ordinarily I would be cautious about a review to say this, but numerous other families at our resort had the same breakout of sickness after their visits too. Just be mindful!
