I guess we came at a bad time. the Grand Prix is in 3 days. A lot of roads shut down and a lot of detours. Traffic was horrible! Was only able to hop off to see a monument one time. The tour guy was fun and friendly and very knowledgeable. Maybe if there’s something major going on in the city don’t schedule tours.

We’re sorry the Grand Prix preparations, road closures, detours, and heavy traffic affected the amount of time you were able to spend at the monuments. Washington, DC can change quickly when major events are being prepared, and some road closures are added with little notice. Our guides always try to adjust the route and still show as much as possible within the 2-hour tour. We definitely understand your point, and for the main Grand Prix event days, we have chosen not to operate tours because of the extensive closures. We truly appreciate your feedback and thank you for touring with us.

This tour was perfect for what we were looking for. We had a very limited amount of time to explore the city and this gave us the biggest bang for our time and buck. We got to see the highlights quickly and comfortably for the 2 hours we had to spend. Many things we saw as we drove past and the more significant stops we had between 5 and 15 minutes to explore. Our guide was punctual, knowledgeable, and courteous. If I had more time I would likely choose a different tour that gave me more time at more stops or I would use this as a quick overview tour at the beginning of a trip then go back to monuments to spend more time.
