Walking Tour Through Quebec City's History

There’s a ton of steps to climb to get to meeting point. You can take the funicular up but it would be helpful to know about that But our tour guide was knowledgeable and I learned a lot

Difficult to hear at times and too much standing around- 25 mins at first stop. Perhaps a change of route would help

This was a very interesting tour. Our guide, Helen, was excellent and entertaining as her character of a woman in the French period of the city’s history. She told us a lot of great stories about the early days of Quebec City. A good tour to get an understanding of the history here snd how it contributes to how the city is today.

Fantastic overview of the history of Quebec City. We learned so much and our guide was knowledgeable and took time to answer questions. He covered 400 years of history and the time went by so fast I was surprised at the end to realize we had been walking and he had been talking for over 2.5 hours. Our first time in Quebec and I am so glad we chose to do this tour our first day.

Most of the walking is flat, but there are steps to go down to the lower part of the city at the end of the tour. Some in the group had difficulty navigating them. Lots of history covered and allowed time for questions. Great overview for our first day in Quebec.

Loved the way the guide did it as a role play. All the subjects he touched on were handled in a humourus but informative way.

Walking tours are a good way to appreciate the city. Genevieve made the 2 hours tour of old Quebec City very interesting with a good mix of history, trivia and humour. She even dressed the part. She was always happy to answer our questions. It was easy paced and we had sufficient stops to catch our breath. We were blessed with great weather which made the tour even more memorable. I will strongly recommend the tour.

The tour was good. Stoped at a lot of main sites. I wish it would have gone deeper into the history of Quebec City and explained more on why the French language is so prevalent in the province. Overall it was still a good tour with useful information.

Very informative and humorous guide. Thoroughly enjoyed and well worth the cost. We dud this early in our visit to Old Quebec.
