The Dufferin Terrace, a long wooden sidewalk located next to the Château Frontenac, affords a stunning view of the St. Lawrence River and surrounding area. It is a wonderful place to visit at any time of the year.
tanding on the same location since 1647 and designated a Canada National Historic Site given its architectural value, the Cathedral bears witness to the history of a whole population. Visitors will see various works of art and pieces of archives with the splendid interior decoration as a background. You could also see de Holy Door.
Place Royale is where Samuel de Champlain founded the City of Québec in 1608. With buildings that combine French and British influences and the oldest stone church in North America, the square has a charm all its own.
The streets of the Petit-Champlain district and Place Royale are an invitation to travel back in time to the founding of Québec over 400 years ago. The sense of history in this square is palpable. Nearby street Petit-Champlain will make you feel like you’ve landed in a fairytale. Here are the top things to see and do in Petit-Champlain.
This outdoor staircase, the oldest in Québec City, dates back to the beginning of the French colony. Many tourists take photographs at this location, as it affords a wonderful view of one of Canada's most picturesque streets: rue du Petit-Champlain.

Our guide Jean-Claude was amazing! We enjoyed his costume, his in-depth knowledge of the history of the city and his sense of humor and command of his audience! We cannot say enough good things about this tour. It was a wonderful way to launch our visit to Quebec City.
An exciting visit for the whole family! Between historical facts, legends and our guide dressed in period costume, the discovery of Old Quebec was more than interesting. Our guide told the story with great talent and captured the attention of our children along the way. We also greatly appreciated his attention to the group: despite the heat, he made sure to make stops in shady places to keep the visit pleasant and safe. We are really happy with our experience and recommend this tour without hesitation!
This was an excellent tour and so much great information was shared by our tour guide Charles who amazingly has been living in Quebec since the 1600's! He made the tour very interesting! It was an easy walk and we covered alot of great places. We many times do the bus tours in cities, but the walking tour will take you into places you would not otherwise see. Highly recommend this!
We stopped at many historic sites from the founding years of the city. We would have missed many of these if we had been on our own. The discussions were educational, the pace was casual and the company was enjoyable.
The guide was tremendous. Friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. I only know that he was a Quebec City native and his family went back generations.
Our guide was fantastic! He was entertaining and informative. I highly recommend this experience!
Our guide, a charming lady during the 1:00 PM tour, was excellent and very entertaining; I highly recommend her.
