Really nice hike to Volcán Santa Catalina in Timanfaya National Park. You meet the guide on the nearby road and then follow a trail of about 7 km through the volcanic landscape. The hike is suitable for any reasonably fit adult. There is one somewhat steep section near the volcano's crater, but overall it is not particularly demanding. Hiking boots are necessary. I really enjoyed the landscape, but what I appreciated most were the guide's explanations. In principle, you could do the hike on your own, but you would miss the fascinating geological story behind Timanfaya. The information and insights provided by the guide are definitely worth the money. I would highly recommend doing this experience at the beginning of your stay in Lanzarote. It is a great way to start getting to know the island and, in particular, its extraordinary volcanic landscape.

Rachel was a fantastic guide!!! The tour was more than expected walking the volcanos and learning all the history was breathtaking and enlightening. Rachel went above and beyond not just for me but all her guests. The hike is slightly challenging but with the right guide very doable. Don’t miss out on this experience. If you need walking sticks make sure you add it when booking they can provide.
Highly recommended walk suitable for anyone, with Raquel, who knows the area perfectly and informs you about the area, the vegetation, the volcanoes, and the island in general. A wonderful local guide who knows Lanzarote. Incredible landscapes, we even saw the crater of a volcano,
We went on a volcanic hike to discover the Timanfaya eruptions. Raquel was very responsive and accommodating because the hikes for the desired days were already full. We did a private hike on a Saturday with our 2 children aged 8 and 11. Our French-speaking guide was Eden. He was very educational with the children and very knowledgeable. His French is impeccable. He answered all our questions and those of the children, mastering his subject perfectly and enthusiastic about sharing the beauty of his island. We recommend to all French speakers wishing to visit Lanzarote to take this excursion and especially to go through Raquel and Eden!
A timeless moment.. An incredible tour led by a passionate and fascinating guide!
Tour guide very informative, knowledgable and attentive. English and French was perfect and was able to switch between both. Very interesting to hear about volcanos and Lanzarote history.
This was a very accessible and fascinating hike. The group was very small and the guide could speak in many languages. Felt very personal and fascinating and fun. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative and the route gave you that remote feeling. There were snacks included. Staff was very communicative and flexible with meeting people and making sure you got to and from the point so don’t be afraid to reach out. They also organize many other tours which i unfortunately did not have time to do but i will return!
Very nice walk with a super pleasant and competent Raquel guide, with a very educational approach to volcanoes! I recommend 200%!
This is an absolute must-do in Lanzarote if you’re interested in volcanoes and the local nature and are up for a relatively easy hike. Our guide Raquel picked us up promptly and was great at pointing out various sights on the way. She also answered my million questions about the island and gave recommendations. There were also some nice snacks, including delicious volcanic soil-grown bananas. We took this tour on our first full day on Lanzarote and I can’t imagine a better introduction. We would definitely take a tour with this company again.
Excellent trip with a very knowledgeable and passionate guide. Raquel was brilliant and I appreciated her experience and guidance. I have learnt so much and appreciate Lanzarote even more.
