The history of Maârif dates back to 1914 when three English traders decided to acquire a large piece of land and subdivide it. These foreigners registered their property, unlike the residents of the neighborhood who simply surrounded their land with a low wall without any land title.
The Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church is a Catholic parish church located in Casablanca, Morocco. It was built in 1954 by Achille Dangleterre and engineer Gaston Zimmer[1] and is the second church in Casablanca[2] after the Sacré-Cœur church which is no longer used for worship today.

The Habous district developed during the French protectorate[1], mainly from the 1920s to the 1930s to accommodate several families of traders from various regions of Morocco. The tour is 3-3.5 hours (not the advertised 5-6 hours) The driver was very good and knowledgeable. Too bad the market is closed on Fridays
