Itinerary
You will be transported back to the Golden Age of France with a trip to the Palace of Versailles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and emblem of French royalty and extravagance. You will be guaranteed fast-track entry, allowing you to jump the queue and travel in comfort on one of our fully air-conditioned coaches. You will marvel at the breathtaking royal chateau, transformed by the ‘Sun King’ Louis XIV in the 1660s from a hunting lodge. Playground of the French monarchs, Versailles was the center of royal and political power until the French Revolution in 1789 which saw Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette forced to return to the capital.
Your audio guide will enable you to discover the State apartments of the King and Queen & the Royal Chapel among others.
Discover the Hall of Mirrors, the epitome of French opulence: three hundred and fifty-seven mirrors line the gold-adorned hall and crystal chandeliers hang from the ceiling.
You will also be given time to explore the manicured gardens "à la française", which mirrors the splendor of the interior. Designed by the French landscaper André Le Nôtre in 1661 for the King Louis XIV, the 2,000-acre park is an architectural expanse of perspectives, parterres, fountains and groves that since its inception has defined what a French garden should be.

Very enjoyable experience. Excellent tour guide (Isobel). After a comfortable ride to Versailles we spent a couple hours there with a combo tour and time on your own to explore. Lovely not to wait in line. Well worth it.
Well organized which was great as you are covering a lot in a short period. Our guide was outstanding, quite a storyteller. As for the gardens, don’t expect flowers and they are French. The citrus garden was fun.
It’s an amazing experience, a must see. Our tour guide Nicolas was the absolute best. He is not only knowledgeable, but he’s kind and personable. If you can ask for a guide, please ask for him.
The tour guide was great and knowledgeable. I would recommend going on this tour. The palace and gardens were great.
This was the perfect amount of time for me to visit the Palace of Versailles and the gardens. I was in Paris alone on a work trip and have never seen the palace so going for a few hours was perfect. To me, having the transportation to and from Versailles was a huge plus- especially since the van has AC! Our tour guide was wonderful, friendly, and patient. Would do a tour with them again!
Fantastic our guide and driver was very good. The van was immaculate and air conditioned. Versailles was beautiful and our guide who took us through the palace, was knowledgeable and east to understand.
Absolutely wonderful tour, in spite of the European heat wave during our stay our tour guide Isabella did her best to keep us in shaded areas during the short wait to get inside Versailles. She was very knowledgeable, passionate about her job, and really was mindful on checking in on everyone during the entire tour. Highly recommend, I'm it's even better in the spring season when it's not as hot.
Don't go on one of the hottest days on record! Tour guide was great, very knowledgeable. Very crowded. I did this tour on a long layover, so was a little stressed about making it back to the airport on time, and I shouldn't have worried at all.
My experience was not good. The bus we took to Versaille didn’t have working AC so everyone was hot and miserable the entire 45 minute ride there and back. I brought it to the guides attention and he and the driver said there was nothing that could be done. After arriving back at the tourist office I alerted the attendants at the office there and they seemed to not care. Said they would let their manager know.
Lots of history to see at Versailles. The Palace is immense and filled with many artifacts. Our guide was well versed on our tour and made sure we saw all the highlights despite the palace being over crowded and terribly hot. The gardens are lovely. Be sure and take them in. Best if you go when the temperature is more reasonable. It was too hot the day we went and there’s very little AC inside.
Hello, Thank you very much for your detailed review! We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed discovering the history and highlights of the Palace of Versailles, and that your guide helped you make the most of your visit despite the crowds. It’s also great to know that you appreciated the beauty of the gardens, they truly are a highlight of the experience. We’re sorry that the weather conditions made the visit less comfortable on the day you went. As you mentioned, parts of the Palace have limited air conditioning, and we understand that this can be challenging during very hot days. We appreciate your helpful advice for future visitors and hope to welcome you again under more comfortable conditions for another great experience from Paris. Kind regards, The Paris TRIP Team
