Testé et approuvé !
Having recently moved to Paris, I wanted to discover Versailles beyond the usual tourist experience and learn more about its history and the lives of the French at the time.
Mateo was the perfect guide, extremely knowledgeable, passionate about French history, and excellent at bringing the past to life in a clear and engaging way. My favourite part was the breathtaking Potager du Roi.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to discover the history of Versailles in a more personal and immersive way.

An unforgettable and unique way to discover Versailles !!
Absolutely amazing experience! This tour was the perfect way to discover Versailles from a completely different perspective, far from the usual tourist routes. We got to explore beautiful and lesser-known places that we would never have found on our own, while learning so many fascinating stories and details about Versailles and its history.
Everything felt very authentic and personal, rather than like a standard tourist tour. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and friendly, and made the whole experience both interesting and fun. The explanations were detailed without ever feeling overwhelming, and there was plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings and ask questions.
It was definitely one of the highlights of our visit to Versailles and such a refreshing experience compared with the more crowded attractions. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone looking for something special, authentic and a little different. Truly deserving of 5 stars!

A walking lesson on the history of France & Versailles
Matteo knows a lot about french history which he explains in fluent clear English. He was careful to check how far we wanted to walk & what we are interested to see, giving us options for the route. Stopping at the little cafe for a drink was a welcome rest on a hot day.

Superb experience
Very satisfied with this family visit to Versailles. Originally from Périgord, we knew Versailles quite poorly. We had a remarkable guide who knew every corner and good plans of the city. Friendly and passionate, we had a pleasant time in his company. A visit not to be missed!
