This was a very enjoyable and informative bike tour. We had a wonderful guide Lola, while in the Palace and Dara (not sure that is spelled correctly) was with us on the bike tour. He was a fountain of knowledge on French history and took us through the gardens, while providing us interesting insights. The biking was easy, but some of the bikes could use a tune up, lots of very squeaky brakes! The picnic was lovely and relaxing, but it’s a full day and you will be ready to put your feet up by the end.
It was worth it!!!! The history of Versailles was very interesting! The tour and guide was interesting and nicely paced. The bike ride throughout the village really added depth and dimension to the whole experience.
Absolutely see Versailles with a VIP experience and with Sophia! Biking lets you experience more of the grounds, a guide helps explain all of the stories and history.
This tour was amazing!!! We had Paul most of the day and Matt for the the indoor Palace portion. Both guides were great! This day was picturesque. We learned a lot, had incredible food, and had fun. Highly recommend!!
We enjoyed our guide, Maggie, who did a great job getting us around to see everything. The bikes were easy to use, and had large panniers to bring your water bottle, raincoat, handbag/backpack, etc. There will be several places to fill up your water bottle. Biking was a great way to get to the main areas like the castle, the queen’s hamlet, and the market. However, you will be doing a fair bit of walking at each of these places, so be prepared for that with good walking shoes, hat, and sunscreen. We went in 99 degree weather, so this may not be a big deal for your visit. This was a really fun tour. Thanks Maggie!
We had an amazing day!!! Paul and Clara were wonderful guides. I learned so much!!! Highly recommend as the best way to experience all of Versailles in a day. We especially loved the market, quiet picnic in the park, and gorgeous scenery on our ride.
Wonderful small group tour and one of our favorite things we did while in Paris! Family of four (two adults and two teen) who had never been to Paris or Versailles before. Having a fully guided tour for the day here was spectacular. The meeting point at the train station was clear and our guides easy to find. After that it was a stress free day to enjoy the palace and gardens. Our tour guide Darah was great at navigating us through the grounds of Versailles, the markets and biking us around for the day. Lola was our guide for the indoor portion of the day (about 90minutes). We learned a lot about French history from the 1700s in an engaging way, even for the kids. The guides take care of setting you up with bikes. They even had blankets for a picnic and had ponchos for us when it unexpectedly rained for a bit during the tour. Bikes have baskets and saddlebags for storage which was great. Would highly recommend this tour!
Great tour, kind guide, well organized, and perfect way to see the palace and surrounding grounds as well town. Was very happy to be on a bike and not on foot!
This was a highlight of our trip to Paris. Our guide Sofia was knowledgeable, entertaining and helpful. She made everyone in the group feel comfortable and taught us a lot. I highly recommend this experience.
This tour far exceeded my expectations! Dara and Lola were exceptional tour guides helping the group navigate the train, the palace of Versailles, the market and the grounds of the palace. Everything from start to finish, 8 hours was perfect, even when it started to rain, Dara quickly outfitted the group with rain ponchos, making the bike ride comfortable and memorable. The picnic lunch was the fuel needed to bike around the palace grounds. Definitely an experience to remember and one we would highly recommend to others! Thank you Dara and Lola!
