Description
We will meet by the entrance of the museum, to skip the waiting line and enter the museum all together. We will start by going over the Swedish Empire and the war in which Gustav Adolf had the ship commissioned, what was the purpose of the ship? Who was the enemy during these years? Something happened during the construction and the ship sank, what happened? and whose fault was it? Many years later it was found and salvaged, but this was no easy task. We will go over the engineering project together and show you the maps used in the 19th century to find the location of the ship, and how it was found in the 1950s. Once it was salvaged, a time capsule of the 17th century was opened and many secrets were revealed of how life was back then. This tour is the perfect choice for the ones who want to get a deep knowledge about everything that happened, in and out of the ship. Come full of questions, because we want to answer all of them!

Such a learning experience
So awesome! Sebastian was extremely engaging and passionate about the subject. I wish I had history teachers like him when I was in high school. Amazing tour.

Go early and plan to stay longer.
Everyone told us not to miss the Vasa- and they were right. We only planned on spending two hours in the museum but really needed 3-4 to see all the things! Our guide, Olivia, was incredible and I wish we’d had longer to see the museum from top to bottom, but I guess we just have to come back. For those who don’t like big crowds, plan to go early. It was a little crowded on our Saturday morning tour, but we saw the big tour busses pull in as we walked out around noon.

Vasa, a must do in Stockholm
Excellent experience at the Vasa. Well worth your time when visiting Stockholm. Marta, our guide was excellent. Well paced tour with a lot of interesting and relevant information. Highly recommend, and if you are lucky you will get Marta.
