A great travel experience
Just returned from an amazing trip to beautiful Uzbekistan.
We are independent travellers and booked our own international flights and hotels.
Booking our land based trip with Silk Road Tours was a great decision. They were able to use local expertise to prepare an itinerary which was varied and provided us with a wealth of experiences in a relatively short trip...from the historic old cities, rural excursions and mountain landscapes.
They booked all rail transport ( 3 different journeys), an internal flight, all transfers and organised fluent, knowledgable and friendly guides in Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand and Shahrisabz.
The communication via WhatsApp was excellent from our first contact to final transfer. Before our trip we recieved our itinerary, names of our guides with contacts and copies of all our tickets.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Silk Road Tours..they made our trip to Uzbekistan memorable for all the right reasons. Thank you

The perfect experience
We have all been extremely pleased with the service of this tour operator. All the contracted guides at every location were very well prepared, helpful and professional. We couldn't wish for a better experience. The programm was entertaining, the tour was private and specific to our needs, any external problems were dealt with swiftly by the organiser, the transport was punctual and very comfortable, the value-for-money extremely positive, the atmosphere in general was everything we hoped for. I already recommended it to friends & family, I myself would travel again any time with this tour operator.

Fairy Tale trip to Uzbekistan
We traveled as a couple from Istanbul (original start point USA) to Uzbekistan. We took the 8 day private tour of Uzbekistan. We stayed overnight in Tashkent, traveled by plane to Khiva, by train to Bukhara and Samarkand. Then returned to Tashkent.
The communication throughout the trip was excellent with our contact Amir. We were promptly met at all stations by a driver who clearly identified himself. Our guides were all excellent and the hotels were amazing in terms of quality, staff and food.
We traveled in the heat of summer but the trip was not at all unpleasant. The hotels were listed as three star or better. They are all better. The history and site seeing were top notch. The rich history of Central Asia from the Muslim/Timurid Renaissance through the Soviet period are on full display. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful and hospitable country.
