Honestly, this was shockingly amateurish. It felt more like a school production than a professional show. The whole thing was dated, badly executed and just not enjoyable. I genuinely wouldn’t recommend it even if it were free. What I really don’t understand is how it has so many good reviews. We left completely baffled. A total waste of an evening.
silly performance by amateurs who could not move, let alone dance. Ridiculously bad. Thinking about fire, panic, etc., made us feel quite sick. There was no emergency exit in this basement hole. Highly negligent handling!!
Fantastic show from start to finish! A really beautiful and entertaining experience with lots of energy and imagination. You are hooked from the first moment, and time flies by. It was clear that a lot of work and passion had been put into the show, and the music, stage show, and performance came together in a higher unity. An experience we can definitely recommend to others if you want a cozy and different evening. We had a really good experience.
We were notified by the HILT Theater at 7pm, 8/11 that the production was cancelled. I asked the Theatre for a refund, please process refund to me. Thanks, Bob Michelic
Combination of visit of the historic underground with modern show that is full of effect. fun and interesting moments on the small stage. Place is very familiar and not full of hundreds of tourists so you can feel private. It makes the feeling like 3D UV show, after the visit me and my boyfrined we both had dreams about the show! The staff is very friendly, price is evergae for such a show in Prague. Thanks to only few places to sit there you get friendly sevice and welcomming, you can talk to actors and the director after the show. The show is non verbal that is great to meet any nationality in one audience room.
Sadly I am not able to rate this as 0. If you are thinking of going to this performance, think again. I have seen better, more professional productions at infant schools. The costumes and wigs looked like they had been retrieved from a child’s dressing up box. The production made no sense and its only saving grace was that it was sooo (unintentionally) dreadful that we found it hysterical. You can meet the cast afterwards and listen to them bragging about their wonderful performance, how they have travelled the world and how much more amazing the show is on a big stage! Hilarious, but for all the wrong reasons.
I feel really mean rating this show so harshly but we a number of issues. - First and foremost they recommend you arrive 30 minutes before the show. It's down a small side street and quite easy to miss but 10 minutes would probably be enough unless you want to get a drink at the bar. In the theatre itself, an endless loop of short teasers and snippets of the history of black light made the 30 minute waiting time really crawl. Just too repetitive. - Overall the show wasn't like any of the traditional black light shows we've seen on previous visits to Prague. Kudos to the company for trying something different but for the most part it just felt like a not particularly good dance show performed in low light. That said, there was actually too much light on stage due to the use of projected images which killed the impact of any black light elements. The narrative was also lost on us as short scenes played out on screen between dance sequences. - There were 2 nice sections - a sequence with a floating mask that came right up to the front row and another lovely sequence where lots of well choreographed fluorescent hands suddenly appeared around one of the characters. - Sadly the rest of the show just gel for us.
If this was intended to be a farce, they nailed it. However I don't think that was their plan and it was not advertised as such. The show was 70 min long and the seats were quite hard, after 30 minutes most in the audience were fidgeting.
My family and I bought tickets from Spain to attend a performance of Teatro Negro in Prague and found a venue without security measures. The show had nothing to do with the real black theatre in Prague. The scenery and costumes were very poor and unprofessional. Far removed from what we expected, although we had fun with some of the scenes.
