Description
Out of all Spanish cities, Barcelona is the biggest melting pot with an impressive history and identity of its own. Now, its food scene is a mix of both Spanish and uniquely Catalan classics. On this tour with a small group of just 12 other people, you’ll get a sense of this fascinating past as well as the ever-changing present, both of which make Barcelona’s food story what it is today.

Itinerary
Begin your tour at a family-run restaurant serving the locals of El Born since the 1960s. Sit down for a classic Catalan breakfast, including the Spanish potato omelet and two local bites served on artisan bread, toasted to perfection.
This treasure trove is one of the last remaining specialty stores in the region. La Campana is run by two sisters who have adapted to modern times while retaining the authenticity that made this store last since the 1890s. Here, you’ll taste four delicious samples of the most recognizable Spanish treats: turrón.
Visit an authentic food market in the city and wander through enticing stalls as you learn about local traditions and customs. Tastings are included along the way: seasonal fruit, delicious Spanish cheeses, and cured meats, including jamón ibérico.
This bodega is a true hidden gem and a favorite among those seeking a relaxed environment to enjoy local cuisine. Try one of Barcelona’s famous tapas: the bomba, originally created in this very neighborhood, alongside some mouthwatering vermouth.
Located in a famous 18th century winery and one of the oldest buildings in the neighborhood, Can Ramonet is the place to go for seafood in Barcelona. Take in the historic surroundings as you enjoy a plate of fresh paella and your choice of a glass of white or red wine.

Vera was the ultimate tour guide and was everything we could have asked for and more. Excellent food knowledge and a wealth of fun facts about Barcelona as a city and its culture. 11/10 recommend.
This was a great introduction to the range of Spanish foods and specialties! Dom was fantastic! We loved all the places and found everything to be delicious. My husband’s gluten free requirements were also catered for! Superb tour!
We did this food tour as a family of four. It was my husband and I and our two kids ages 15 and 18. Our tour guide’s name was Erik. We were lucky to have a private food tour because we were the only group for that particular time which was AMAZING! Erik took us to 6 different resteraunts highlighting popular Catalan and Spanish cuisines which were all absolutely delicious! The portion sizes of the dishes were quite big so we were absolutely stuffed by the end of the tour. He combined just the right amount of history associated with the food which was perfect for our children who don’t always have the attention span for long drawn out explanations. The tour started on time. He was courteous, friendly with a great sense of humor. He also made a recommendation for dinner called Bar Del Pla. I decided to try it out and it was probably the best meal I had in Barcelona. Overall. We couldn’t have asked for a better food tour and guide. My only regret is that we should have taken the food tour at the beginning of our stay in Barcelona instead of our last day. We will definitely use this company again in the future.
The tour was great and so was our guide, Ariana!
Amazing food tour with Dominic. The experience went far beyond the food itself and we learned so much about Barcelona’s history, culture, and local traditions along the way. Because the group was small, and the tour felt highly personalized and engaging. Dominic was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience both fun and informative. We loved learning the stories behind the dishes and ingredients, and the food tasted even better when we understood its history and significance. It was one of the highlights of our stay in Barcelona, and we would highly recommend it.
Hector was super knowledgeable and charismatic! Had a great time
