Itinerary
After hotel pickups are finished you will depart immediately to the Hoover Dam. Travel time between Las Vegas and the Dam is around 45 minutes each way. Your driver will provide an expert commentary along the way. All vehicles are climate controlled and equipped with, reclining seats, video monitors and over-sized windows.
Enjoy a brief stop for photos at the historic and world-famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" Sign.
Enjoy phenomenal views of Hoover Dam, admire the beauty of Lake Mead and see the colorful Arizona Paint Pots in stark contrast against the volcanic rocks of Black Mountain.

- This tour is not recommended for anyone who suffers from claustrophobia, has a pacemaker or defibrillator. Tours are conducted in confined spaces and in a power plant with generators emitting electromagnetic frequencies.
- Collapsible wheelchairs can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them to board and disembark the bus.
- Hotel pickup is available for this tour/activity. Please note: depending on the hotel, buses may not be able to access or enter every property. In this case, pickup may be redirected to a central bus stop or nearby hotel. Exact pickup details will be provided to the guest upon reconfirmation with the local tour operator.

Firstly, Michael the driver / tour guide made this tour!. The pick up at Bellagio was on time and Michael then took us for a few more pick ups, explaining sites of interest in the city on the way and, after the last pick up we went to see the welcome sign. Michael told us to ignore the photographer and queue and just take our pictures in the 15 minute stop, helping ourselves to the free chilled water bottles from his cool box. We then had circa a 30 minute bus ride, during which Michael was explaining all about the areas we went through and sites of particular interest, with "dam" jokes and anecdotes thrown in long the way. Next stop was Lake Mead overlook where Michael was on hand to explain the area during the 20 minute stop and show us where the chipmunks were running around. Again, water was on hand. Next stop was the O'Callaghan / Tillman bridge stop which gave us 25 minutes to explore and go along the bridge for photos. There are conveniences at this stop. Lastly was the Hoover Dam itself (a few minutes drive) where Michael gave us tips on how to plan the 2 hours we had and was on hand to chat and explain anything we needed or wanted to know. We had tickets to go into the bridge as part of the package and took advantage of this $25 free perk, then exploring the bridge/visitor centre/ statues / etc, afterwards. We got back to Vegas approximately 5.5 hours after leaving. I would recommend the tour and Michael was a fantastic host.

Just the right amount of time and touring. The power house tour is a little short but it hits the highlights.

The turbines room was a setup just for tourists, it isn't a current function of the dam. Kind of misleading.

Comfortable, entertaining, and informative. Our guide was funny, and even the 45 minute bus ride to the dam from our hotel was pleasant. The views were beautiful, and the tour of the plant was interesting, but didn’t take up too much time.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable knew so much about Vegas about the Hoover. Dam kept us on time made sure everyone was there always did a headcount. We had a wonderful time. It was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this to anyone.

Booked a Hover Dam tour with tripadvisor, the tour operator did not show up, calling us to meet to another pick up point considering we were first time in Vegas. Tour operator refusing a refund, Tripadvisor did same thing,Viator again ignored us . We need to find a way to reveal this scam and get a refund. Later on the operator pretended that they were tere but was unable to give any proof even after we sent them a recording proving our presence. They have no designated pick up point, other people telling us that they come in normal ,unmarked vehicles to collect customers, not in a bus or minivan with proper distinctive logo or signs. Best to avoid this operator and also Viator as they done nothing to help us !
Dear adrianiG, On behalf of everyone at Gray Line I want to say that we are sorry that you missed your tour, however every month thousands of travelers seem to have no problem understanding where we pickup guests at various Las Vegas hotels. Additionally, sightseeing tour operators in Las Vegas do not get to choose at what hotel entrance we pickup guests, as due to the sheer size of Las Vegas hotels they strictly control where tours are allowed to pickup guest- so simply by asking any uniformed hotel employee the correct pickup point can easily be determined if someone gets confused by the mazes that are some Las Vegas hotels. The ride to Hoover Dam was good as was the tour at Hoover Dam. It was 111 in Las Vegas. The air-conditioning in the center of the bus was just adequate going to. The driver turned off the ac on the return trip, said the bus might have problems. What?! We melted.

The experience was beautiful. The lack of air conditioning on the bus on a 106-110 degree day was unacceptable. I was drenched in sweat! The driver Chris was amazing and tried to accommodate us as well as he could. Overall the Hoover dam was worth it.
