Description
Depart the port for a scenic ride to Paleokastritsa, stopping along the way to sample some of the island's traditional tastes. Homemade olive oil, local wine, ouzo, and the ever-popular limoncello are waiting to tantalize your taste buds! Be sure to try the kumquat, a tangy citrus fruit brought over to Corfu from China in 1846. Continue to Paleokastritsa Monastery, a large Byzantine complex dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Located atop a promontory, this 12th-century monastery is visible from every direction and offers breathtaking views of the island and the sea. While in the area you can opt to board a boat and visit the nearby Caves of Paleokastritsa (15 Euro not included). From there you will make your way to Corfu's Old Town with its famous Greek, Venetian, French and British architecture. While here enjoy some free time to roam its ancient, narrow streets and see the highlights including Spianada Square, Liston, and the Old Fortress before your return trip to port.

Beautiful Corfu; great guide
Wonderful tour guide Katarina! And such a beautiful location. Though the group started somewhat larger than we prefer for a small group, we split up in two groups for two different activities, which was nice. We stayed with Katarina for a monastery tour instead of a small boat ride because of the wind; she did a very nice short tour of the monastery, which happened to be on a cliff overlooking the beautiful coastline of Corfu. Then we all got together in the nice van and went to old town Corfu; short walk around to see sites then some time to ourselves. A bit more time in old town would have been nice, as it’s a great place for shopping and eating. Again, Katarina was a great guide and Corfu such an exceptional location.

Great day in Corfu
We loved the tour of Corfu. Our guide Irene was a wonderful guide. I would highly recommend her. We loved not only seeing the sights and learning about Corfu but also learning about life in Greece.

We saw the gorgeous beach...
We saw the gorgeous beach and Monastery first, so quiet and peaceful- followed by free time in the Old Town. The tour was supposed to be small group but we must have been the only ones signing up for it and we ended up getting a private very comfortable tour with Xenos ( spelling?). He gave us just enough information without overwhelming. Great day, highly recommend

So much fun!
We did a tailor made private tour of this island. This island is so different than the other islands we visited, it was so green! Our tour guide Angela and our driver Spiros did a great job showing us the sites! We loved every stop and had a great time!
