Our guide Anita was awesome! Very informative and knowledgeable. My only advice is not to do this to her in the summer as it can be very hot and there are lots of steps to navigate.

It is a rectangular forum surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient government buildings at the center of the city of Rome. Citizens of the ancient city referred to this space, originally a marketplace, as the Forum Magnum, or simply the Forum.
It is another rare example of a well-preserved Roman monument. It's intact because it was turned into the entrance to the Church of Saints Cosma and Damiano, still functioning today
It was the residence of Vestal Virgins, located behind the circular Temple of Vesta at the eastern edge of the Roman Forum, between the Regia and the Palatine Hill. The domus publica, where the Pontifex Maximus dwelled, was located near the Atrium until that role was assumed by the emperors.
Its ruins stand at the foot of the Capitoline Hill at the western end of the Roman Forum. The original dedication of the temple is traditionally dated to 497 BC, but ancient writers disagreed greatly about the history of this site.
It is an ancient building in the Roman Forum. It was the largest building in the Forum, and the last Roman basilica built in the city.
It was a structure that once stood in the Roman Forum. It was a large, ornate, public building used for meetings and other official business during the Roman Empire.
It is one of the most ancient parts of the city and has been called "the first nucleus of the Roman Empire." The site is now mainly a large open-air museum while the Palatine Museum houses many finds from the excavations here and from other ancient Italian sites.
It is a square in the center of Rome between Via dei Fori Imperiali and Via Claudia. It is located on the border of rione Monti, Campitelli and Celio districts. The square can be reached from the Colosseo Metro Station on the B line of the Rome Metro.
Built in 315AD and noted by its triple arches, this structure commemorates Constantine's victory over Maxentuis.
Perhaps the best-preserved of the monuments of ancient Rome, this huge marble structure was built to hold more than 50,000 spectators to witness bloody contests of might and the slaughter of wild beasts.

Our guide Anita was awesome! Very informative and knowledgeable. My only advice is not to do this to her in the summer as it can be very hot and there are lots of steps to navigate.
This tour is a scam as they said it’s small group tour and sold for more money but we had 20 people in the tour. I have reached out to the tour organizer and they haven’t come back to me to provide a refund.
Semi private tour way to go. 6 people in tour with guide and Earset! Very good tour- comprehensive! Marta was awesome!
Take a water bottle if it’s hot. There is one bubbler on the walk. This was an amazing experience. The history and knowledge of our guide was endless.
It was a good experience overall. Ricardo provided lots of great information, but he seemed to stop abruptly at times and rush off to the next element. As a result we felt like we were chasing him trying to catch up.
Really good tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave great details about what we were seeing including the use of books and illustrations to show you how things would have looked in the past to help you visualize your surroundings. Great pace and knew the best views and routes. Very patient and friendly as well. Small group was great because it made it super easy to get around and not waste time on getting into the area or waiting for check in.
Our guide seemed like a nice person but she basically just read and showed us pages of a picture book. She seemed to want to speed the tour up as much as possible. It’s hot and crowded. We didn’t have a bad time and we got to see what we expected. Having a better guide would have made this a far more enjoyable experience. So be warned you may be more on your own than expected.
Anita was very knowledgeable and thorough in showing us the Forum, Palantine hill, and Colosseum. We loved the small group which was able to move at a faster pace than a large group, and it felt more personable. We were able to ask questions and chat with Anita to get more information and knowledge about what we were seeing. Having a your guide like Anita was well worth it to really have a good experience, and learn about the area. Walking around by ourselves would not have been nearly as interesting. We highly recommend Anita to tour in Rome!
Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review! We’re so pleased to hear that our guide Anita made the history of the Forum, Palatine Hill, and Colosseum engaging and enjoyable. It’s wonderful to know that the small-group setting gave you the chance to ask questions and enjoy a more personal experience. We truly appreciate your kind words and recommendation!
The tour guy, Eddy was excellent and very knowledgeable. He did his best to keep us in the shade and pushed us to stay hydrated. I highly recommend but in cooler weather. :)
This tour provides an excellent introduction to the Colosseum and surrounding areas. There’s so much to see in both spots that you could spend a day or two exploring in more depth but this tour gives it to you in a really digestible way over 2.5 hours. Our guide Daniel was terrific. Knowledgeable with a lovely easy manner and a nice sense of humour which made the tour race along. We had about 16-18 in our group which was very manageable and we didn’t feel “lost” at any stage. It’s a definite strong recommendation as either the perfect introduction or (as with us) our only opportunity to experience this incredible area.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so pleased to hear that you found the tour to be an enjoyable and easy to follow introduction to the Colosseum and the surrounding archaeological sites. It's especially great to know that Daniel's knowledge, humor, and engaging style made the experience so memorable. We're delighted that we could be part of your visit to this incredible part of Rome. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back for another tour in the future!
