This combo tour offers two unique experiences: a 1 hr. puffin watching trip on a small boat and a 3 hr. whale watching adventure. The puffin tour takes you to one of three nearby islands—Akurey, Engey, or Lundey—where you can observe thousands of birds, including puffins, in their natural habitat. The tour provides stunning views and insights from our naturalist guides. The whale watching tour is a thrilling journey into the bay, where you get a chance to see humpback whales, minke whales, dolphins, and porpoises. The marine biologist guide shares fascinating information about the wildlife, making the experience both educational and inspiring. Note that between the tours, you will have about 2 hours of free time to explore Reykjavík and enjoy lunch. The total duration from start to finish is about 6 hrs.

Book this tour for a chance to encounter whales in the wild and puffins in their natural habitat! This deal includes two separate tours; a 1 hour puffin watching tour on a smaller boat and a 3 hour whale watching tour on a larger boat.
Puffin Watching: We will take you out on one of our smaller passenger boats and sail up to one of three islands that are home to thousands of Puffins during breeding season. Borrow our binoculars or bring a zoom camera to get a good view!
Between the two tours, you will have a couple of hours free time. We suggest spending lunch at one of the many restaurants at the charming Old Harbour. Ask our staff for recommendations!
Whale Watching: Sailing out into the biggest bay in Iceland, Faxaflói, we will search for minke whales, humpback whales, porpoises and dolphins. Our tour has a sighting guarantee, which means that in the unlikely event that you don't see cetacean on our tour, you can try again another day free of charge!

- Please note that our fleet is not completely wheelchair accessible as there are steep stairs between lower and upper decks and high thresholds to get from the decks into the saloon as well as from the saloon to the toilets.
- Wheelchair users are welcome to bring a foldable chair onboard our bigger boats, but if possible, please advise our office prior to departure as we may need to assist with boarding.

We mabss as fed to see quite a few whales. Our guide was excellent at telling us where to look. Bit hard to get to front of boat but they did share the photos as well. This was last opportunity to see puffins before they migrate to Greenland
The tour was well planned but unfortunately the weather was not cooperative. Therefore, poor sightings
An amazing time. On the whale watch we observed 5 Humpbacks and four Minke Whales along with some pods of White Beaked Dolphins. Crew was great and very sharp eyed!
These tours were great. Obviously it's not possible to guarantee the same sightings since whales and puffins will do what they will do. We loved seeing all of the puffins on the island and were able to see a couple of hump back whales. The boats left and returned on time. I thought that the whale boat may have been a bit over crowded. I'm shorter than average and was kind of surrounded by taller people while trying to view the whales from up top. I ended up watching them from the lower decks thought the windows.
Excellent. We were lucky and saw lots of whales and puffins. Boat not too busy. Seas were a little rough but staff handled professionally. Better than ordering directly through cruise company.
Puffin tour was very poor. Guide was mostly silent and shared little. Boat was larger than expected and did not get close to island. Understand not wanting to disrupt birds. Boat was dirty and smelled! Whale watching up the average rating. Guide was excellent and shared information most of the time. We learned more about puffins from her. Caption maneuvered ship comfortable distance from whales. We saw several whales and a couple dolphins. Amazing! Boat couple have been clearer. Ur vessels are old. Thank you for whale watching!
Well organized, excellent access. Seasickness pills available. Friendly crew. Professional photos available from a naturalist- need to email company to receive.
Our tours each used ships with both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can escape the wind if needed. If you're still too cold they also offered insulated, waterproof overalls. With a number of little restaurants nearby there is plenty of time to get a meal in between.
Be prepared for rain and wind and arrive early to get a good seat inside cabin. You will have to go outside at some point to see puffins
i give this a low rating because there are a couple of things that are not clear. 1. it is 2 separate tours. and we ended up with 2 hours between them where we had to kill time, because we needed to stay close to the area. 2. on the Puffin tour you do not get near the puffins you just circle an island in the boat. So no real good pictures you need to use binoculars and everyone is fighting for the same space to see something - there is not alot of the boat where you can stand. It was not enjoyable at all. The Whale tour was good - it is a 2 hour tour and we went for about an hour before we saw a whale so we stayed out a little longer
