This workshop was one of the highlights of our trip. What started as a simple coffee workshop turned into a deeply engaging, historical, and cultural journey. From the moment we arrived, our host, Ilham, greeted us warmly and offered refreshments. He is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and brings amazing energy to the session. We brewed traditional Turkish coffee using a cezve on hot sand, all while learning fascinating stories about the origins of coffee and how it blends with Turkish culture. The coffee ground fortune-telling was insightful, fun, and surprisingly accurate. Ilham has an intuitive, positive mindset that shines through in his readings, making everyone feel engaged and intrigued. I recommend the workshop to you if you are traveling solo, as a couple, or with a group. It goes far beyond brewing coffee—it’s genuine storytelling and hospitality at its finest.
Thank you so much, Christopher! We’re thrilled the workshop became one of the highlights of your trip. It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed not only brewing Turkish coffee, but also discovering the stories, traditions, and culture behind it. ☕✨
A really interesting and enjoyable workshop. Ingkar was a gracious and kind host who was easy to chat with. Also a nice escape from the crowds!!!
Thank you, Kate! We’re so happy you found the workshop both interesting and enjoyable. It’s lovely to hear that it also gave you a peaceful break from the busy streets of Istanbul. ☕✨
Great workshop. But the most exciting but informative and the staff are great. We liked it so much we signed up to the perfume making workshop too. Combine the two together - it’ll be worth it. Prioritise the perfume but you can do a smaller coffee making workshop with it.
Thank you so much, Kalim! We’re delighted you enjoyed the coffee workshop enough to join our perfume experience as well. We love hearing that both added something special to your time in Istanbul! ✨
ali dagistan super super super
Thank you so much! We’re glad you had such a nice experience and enjoyed your time at the Turkish coffee workshop. ☕😊
The coffee making experience is held in a sweet little, very well decorated room, with all the rugs and accoutrements displayed and organized. Very clean and really well done! Ingkar was my teacher, she did a great job extremely personable and knowledgeable. The reading of the coffee grinds fortunetelling at the end was super fun too.
Thank you so much, Katharine! We’re delighted you enjoyed the atmosphere, the coffee-making process, and the fortune reading at the end. It’s wonderful to hear the whole experience felt both welcoming and informative. ☕✨
Wonderful little experience, great to learn a bit more about the history of coffee, and of course the fortune telling was very good too!
Aziz was a really fun teacher throughout this experience. We learned a ton and had great conversation throughout!
Abdullah was amazing! We had a small group so it was more relaxed and we got to ask plenty of questions! Making the coffee was a great learning experience. We had so much fun and it was so different than other experiences when traveling. Highly recommend!
It’s soooo amazing, Sam is perfect
