Turkey Beauty Highlights Istanbul with Ephesus and Cappadocia

The trip was ‘ Wonders of Turkey with Gulet tour’, the trip was amazing, I wouldn’t change a thing. We had a great group of people. The drive, Hasan, was always there when needed and always offering a hand. The guide was awesome, very knowledgeable, it was like he was at hand always but we also felt we had space. I think having Hakan and Halil made the trip, the outstanding trip it was. I would do the trip again in a heart beat. Driver - Hakan 10 / 10 Guide - Halil 10 / 10 And the amazing group 10 / 10. We are a well traveled couple from New Zealand and have visited a number of different countries. We have had a most enjoyable and educational experience with Fez. All accommodation has exceeded our expectations. Transport was comfortable and well organized. Both tour guides were friendly, extremely knowledgeable of the hsitory and had a good command of the English language. Would highly recommend.

Excellent tour with Fez. With good hotels, guide and driver. Tamer could not have done anymore than he did to make this trip as enjoyable and interesting as it was. He seemed to balance the amount of information and time at each destination perfectly. He certainly knew his history and showed real enthusiasm sharing the details with us. He also was very keen to introduce the group to the delights of the different local dishes and gave us tips on what was good to eat. Murat was an excellent driver and gave us confidence in his ability to get us safely to each destination. I will review the hotels separately.

Our tour guide was tamer. He was terrific. The airline misplaced our luggage and he took on the communication with the airline and getting it to us. He was good at selecting lunch spots and knowing when the group had enough. Hakim the driver was great getting us there. Quiet where tamer was great with all the info. Ask for them when you go.

Our guide in Istanbul was Tim, he was great, informative an passionate. After arriving at Kusadasi we were met by Tamur and Erem. Both were very attentive to our needs. The information provided was informative and given with true passion. Hotels, buses and time spent together was excellent..

Our small group of 7 was bonded quickly by Tamer, our talented guide, whose knowledge along the way and each historical site was fantastic. He also attended to personal needs of the group regarding food requirements, forwarded bookings, obtaining Lira and minor medical issues with great care. He made the trip for us. Murat, our driver seemed to know every minor road on our route to avoid major congestions and ensure that we arrived at our destinations before large tourist buses and on or ahead of time. We felt very safe and relaxed during all of our travels. Fez travel provided us with excellent accommodation and restaurants with great locations. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to take a tour with them. Thank you to the whole team!

The whole tour was well organized and beautiful! The highlights and activities in each place were up and beyond expectations. Top hotels in excellent locations. Our guide Tamer and driver Murad did a great job! I love everything on this tour.

The company made a major goof-up in our booking. They started the tour a day earlier without feeling the need to even inform us and later made excuses like major attractions are closed, forcing them to start the tour earlier. They tried to compensate us with a private tour and lunch, but that is nothing compared to what they owe us for this unprofessionalism and deceitful handling of our booking! Further, in Kusadasi, they took us to a carpet weaving centre, where the manager was nothing less than an extortionist. He was trying to extort our credit card from us on some or the other pretext to force us to buy at least one carpet. All this was happening while the tour guide watched mutely. However, we didn’t buckle. Sad day for the manager. The day was not planned well. We went close to the Isa Bey mosque, but did not go inside despite having ample time left for the day to end. Even the day at Pamukkale was not planned well. There is so much to see and experience there, but we were allotted only 2 hours! Some of the ruins take up to an hour to reach by hike. We reached Pamukkale at 3.30 pm, but could not enjoy much for the first hour because of the sun. There was no need to have rushed us back to the hotel since only a few went for the optional dervish show later that evening.It is not fair for people who have travelled far just to see the beauty of the place. We would have loved to spend more time at the travertines than watch the dervish show which can be caught in Istanbul as well. Even in Cappadocia, they did the same. It is full of beautiful valleys and no matter how much you see, you are not satisfied. Yet, post lunch, time was spent indoors in an obscenely expensive pottery centre and equally expensive silver jewellery shop, where there is a lot of scope for bargaining making you wonder about the fairness of prices.
