Writers' retreat, Monserrate attracted numerous foreign travelers, particularly the English, who extolled its beauty in travel accounts and engravings. Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of continental Europe, situated at the edge of the Sintra Mountains, and one of Portugal's most emblematic locations. Dating back to 1722, it consists of a 22-meter-high tower, and its light has a luminous range of about 26 nautical miles, roughly 48 kilometers. Shrouded in mist or bathed in splendid sunlight, this inspiring place has been a member of the "Sri Chinmoy Peace Blossoms" program dedicated to peace since 1989
A true picture-postcard scene, Azenhas do Mar surprises with its geographical location, where houses cascade down the cliffside to the sea, bathed in an idealized, whitewashed light. It's one of the most beloved beaches for swimmers, featuring an ocean pool that delights visitors. The sandy area doesn't exceed 30 meters, yet during high tides, it can entirely disappear. Once an old fishing village, it has, in recent decades, transformed into a tranquil summer spot and a source of inspiration for many painters like Júlio Pomar, Emílio da Paula Campos, or Milly Possoz.

It was excellent. Above expectations. Pedro went out of his way to give us a great trip. Very knowledgeable, great driver, funny and treated me and my sister very well. It was as much about his personality as the scenery.
We had a fabulous day with Pedro! When we got off the train in Sintra we were mobbed by people aggressively trying to get us to book their tours. After escaping the madness and walking a block away we discovered Pedro and his tuck tuck. We got far more than we expected, from the sites we visited to the vast history lesson. Pedro was an outstanding guide who made sure that we experienced as much as possible. Thank you Pedro for all unexpected bonuses you provided us. Sarah and Dad
We truly enjoyed our tour with Pedro, who was incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to create a memorable experience for us! We saw amazing sights and learned so much about these incredible monuments and the all the magnificent points of interest. We highly recommend this tour and if your guide is Pedro you can be sure it will be a special day!
Marcoy is a very knowledgeable and considering tour guide. We are very lucky to have him take us to several amazing sites along this trip. He is very energetic, loving what he does, sharing very detail historical stories. Those knowledge makes sightseeing is not just seeing, it brought us back to its histories. Some incredible spots for example, secret trails that can hand pick barries, real local community and its little cofffeshop, the highest spot on the mountain that can oversee the whole cities and coastlines. A stunning sunset scene at coastline. Thank you Marcoy, you gave us a great trip and memories
This was our first time in Portugal and Marcus was our guide for the tour. He was extremely knowledgeable about all of Sintra and Caiscais history. He was a great driver, super friendly, and took amazing photos for us. He showed us some local spots we would never have found. We had a great experience and would highly recommend Marcus!!! We had so much fun, lots of laughs and great memories. Definitely would recommend - 10/10!
Our Tuk Tuk driver Marcus was absolutely amazing! He was accommodating and went above and beyond to give us an incredible tour of Sintra. He took photos of us and gave us a history of each palace. Providing us with access to viewpoints and beaches we wouldn’t have been able to find on our own. He made our visit to Sintra even better than we could have ever imagined. Would recommend Marcus as your tour guide for this experience!
Pedro took us for an amazing journey to the beaches and lookouts around Cabo da Roca. He was incredibly knowledgeable of the area. It gave us a much greater appreciation of the beauty of this part of Portugal
As a solo traveler I was concerned about seeing the sights alone. A lot of places will only reserve for 2 or more people. But this Tuk Tuk tour was great for 1. Marcos was my driver/tour guide and he was phenomenal. So welcoming and very knowledgeable of the area. He is a native of the area and had a lot of personal commentary to add. I saw so much of the area and this helped me to choose which areas I wanted to explore more later. I loved the little Tuk Tuk. It gave a 360 view of the sights and was small enough to park in tight spaces. I felt completely safe. Thanks Marcos for a great time!
The Sintra experience was enhanced due to Marcos. Marcos is passionate about Sintra, it is apparent as he speaks about his beloved town. He showed us areas of interest Ofcoarse along with secret gems not on the typical tour. He was engaging, knowledgeable as well as courteous. It was our first time 2 ladies visiting from the U.S., we felt safe as well as enlightened by his knowledge of history. We spent close to 7 hours with him as time flew by, highly recommend Marcos and his group only. Dimitra & Dena
