The stories and the opportunity to walk the neighborhoods made this a great way to spend an afternoon in NYC.
Geat tour! Frank was knowledgeable and engaging. History of organized crime but also on NY was interesting.
Michael was an amazing tour guide and is a fabulously gifted storyteller. His experience as a retired detective really made this activity special and unique. He brought years of mafia history to life. Also, we loved the canolli!
Thank you Louis for a tour we will remember forever! My husband, son and I enjoyed the walk around town and all the stories Louis shared. Spaghetti lunch at the beginning was delicious (come hungry) and really set the mood for the tour. thanks for making our trip to NYC extra special!
little bit of walking but learned all about the mafia and how it started in US - frank was very informative and kept us going
Jay was amazing. Very animated and articulate about her perspectives from 25 years on NYPD. Really interesting and informative!!
Our walk with Frank was fantastic. The combination of his knowledge of NYC organised crime history, together with his lived experiences on the force, made for 3hours that flew by. It was great getting to see locations that I had seen in either movies or true crime shows.
Thank you so much for the fantastic review! We are so glad the three hours flew by and that you enjoyed connecting our walk to the movies and crime shows you've watched. That unique connection is exactly what we aim for, especially since our guides have actually appeared as real-life experts in productions like Law & Order, the Netflix series Get Gotti and Fear City, and the new Goodfellas documentary. Having a retired NYPD veteran share their actual, lived experiences on the force changes the way you see these famous locations forever. We will pass your kind words along to your guide, and we hope to welcome you back for another experience next time you are in New York!
This Crime history walking tour was equal parts entertaining and informative. Frank was the perfect guide with his storytelling gift, love of history, and NYPD background. He's even a terrific waiter (but didn't tell him we said that)! We were engaged the whole time, and despite a day with the heat index at 105°, he kept us in the shade and completely distracted from the temps. The spaghetti lunch at John's and cannoli at Caffe Roma at the end were perfect. We highly recommend this tour.
Thank you so much for the fantastic review! We are so glad that your host kept you completely entertained, well-fed, and perfectly cooled off in the shade even on a 105-degree day. Combining a deep love of history with real-world law enforcement storytelling is exactly what makes our experience so special. In fact, that unique storytelling gift and firsthand knowledge is why our team members have been brought in as real-life crime experts for major productions like Law & Order, Netflix's Fear City, and the brand-new Goodfellas documentary. We will be sure to pass your kind words along to your host—and don't worry, your secret about his excellent waiter skills is safe with us! We hope to welcome you back for another great walk the next time you are in New York City.
AJ was awesome, Very knowledgeable about everything in the park. Answered all our questions. Told us about the history of the park. Would recommend AJ as our tour driver any day of the week. 5 Star. When we come back I would hope to get him again.
Thank you so much for the 5-star review! We are absolutely thrilled that you had an awesome time and that your host answered all your questions. It sounds like you might have accidentally mixed up your reviews for a park tour or driving experience with our true crime walk, but we are so glad you had a great trip to New York City! If you ever want to skip the parks and see the city streets through the eyes of real law enforcement, our walks are entirely led by retired NYPD detectives and police officers who lived this history. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, and we wish you many more great travels ahead!
Great tour guide. Lots of information.
Thank you so much for the great review! We are glad you found the experience so informative. Our walks are led entirely by retired NYPD detectives and police officers who bring real, firsthand history to the streets. We hope to welcome you back for another great walk the next time you are in New York City!
