Tropical Spa Experience in Honduras

Amazing, serene, a spa in the jungle surrounded with palms and mangos and blooming flowers. The spa manager is so welcoming and so friendly. The pool and outdoor spa is so relaxing. The whole environment is just so serene and natural. And my treatments oh my goodness a scrub that was amazing a body mask and wrap followed by a 90-minute massage.. I was in heaven. The spa helped set up transportation from the cruise to their location and everything went so smooth and I was traveling alone. Spa baan suerte gave me one of my best days a perfect day. Mucho gracias.

If I could give Spa Baan Suerte 100 stars I would. Booking and communication were very effortless . I chose the Cosmopolitan which included an orange sugar body polish, 90 minute Swedish massage and a facial. They arranged transportation for me and I was picked up from my hotel on time. When I arrived at the tropical oasis, I knew I was in for a treat. Pictures don’t do this place justice. It was completely serene. When I arrived, I was welcomed and given a mimosa. I sat by the pool and filled out the questionnaire. The massage began shortly afterwards. The scrub was amazing and my skin felt so good afterwards. The massage and facial were wonderful. I had such a great experience!!!

My husband and I traveled to Roatan via a Royal Caribbean cruise last week. Through doing my own research I found where other passengers had previously booked this Spa privately outside of what Royal Caribbean offered. At first, it may seem like well, it’s a different country, it’s not guaranteed through the cruise line. Is it safe? Well, I’m here to tell you if you DON’T book Spa Baan Suerte, you’re absolutely crazy!!!! Our only complaint was against Royal Caribbean in that we didn't spend enough time at Port to enjoy more of this beautiful oasis! We chose the High Seas Harmony Couple’s Package. It not only included private transportation, but a full body scrub, 90 minute massage of your choice & a full facial. And we paid way less than what the cruise spa would’ve charged us! When we pulled up, it truly felt like this magical place! Mariela was so welcoming!!!! And, so easy to work with via email. When we finally got to meet face to face, I felt like I was meeting a friend! The ladies who gave us our treatments were awesome! So awesome in fact, I forgot to get their names! I really just can’t say enough good things about this place. You MUST experience this!! Especially if you’re on a cruise ship…you have the right to book things privately! Also, Oscar David provided our transportation. He’s with Roatan Shoreline Adventures & he was awesome! Not only did he get us to and from the port safely, he also was like a mini tour guide. Thank you, Mariela & all the staff at Spa Baan Suerte!! We will never forget you & hope to see you again soon!

We went to Roatan for our honeymoon. Before going I did research on spas in Roatan and settled on Spa Baan Suerte. The reviews I read were all good so I had high expectations and was excited. The reviews were not wrong. From the booking to the end was great. Mariela was vey responsive and prompt and answered all of my questions before I booked. We were picked up on time from our resort and took a lovely ride to the spa. We arrived a bit early and relaxed by the pool. Mariela came out and greeted us. She offered mimosas and water. We were then led into a cozy hut which was inviting with lovely smells and dimmed lights. The ambiance was great for a couples massage. Both massage therapists worked magic with their hands and the hot stones. 90 minutes later we were new people. We relaxed a bit more by the pool. We had an opportunity to talk to the owner who gave us a bit of history about the spa. Mariela recommended a fabulous place on the beach called The Sunken Fish (I’ll be reviewing them also). The food was fantastic. After lunch we went back to the spa and transportation took us back to our resort. I recommend that go to Spa Baan Suerte. You will not be disappointed!

This is the second time I come here to get a massage with friends while staying in Roatán. The service is unmatched. Mariela and her team great you like royalty as soon as you arrive. We opted for the transportation to be included to the service. Upon arrival you're greeted with smiles and a glass of champagne or mimosa or mint water and juices. There's a great pool to relax before and after. The place is serene. It's a great way to spend the day. We got deep tissue massages and swedish massages. I had Paola this time -- if you like a deep tissue massage with some strong pressure stress it. I left renewed. After we walked to the beach and went to eat at the Sunken Fish. Excellent service. Excellent prices. Beautiful location

From my communication with Mariela in advance of our visit, to our arrival, Spa Baan Suerte delivered 150%! Mariela greeted us (my mom and I) warmly as we drove up. She showed us to the pool area. and we were immediately offered cucumber water and mimosas. There were two other women at the pool area, but it was a quiet and serene location. We relaxed for about 30 minutes, and Mariela returned to speak with us and have us complete paperwork. She was very thorough and empathetic to a personal health issue. After a second mimosa, Mariela returned to escort us one at a time to our separate massage retreats. Mom chose the "All About Me" and I went with the "Cosmopolitan." Kathie and Irma were both just wonderful. The entire experience was heavenly for both of us, and we can't wait to return. (We did not participate in a tour but booked this independently.)

Dropped around $600 for my wife and I. Pros: The massages were well done with a good variety. The people were friendly. Cons: Place is kind of run down. They need to put some $$ back into the actual spa area. It takes between 30-40 minutes to drive from the cruise terminal to the spa. They only had premixed mimosas, no wine as promised on the site. Overall, a good experience, but probably need to lower the price or improve the quality.

This was by far one of the best days on our trip. The spa is secluded and quiet nestled in a forest. You can hear the occasional rooster crow! Free mimosas all day. We got the spa package that included a facial, body scrub, body wrap, massage and pedicure. Everything was top notch. The spa manager Mariela was so delightful and accommodating when we made a slight scheduling error. We will definitely return here on our next trip.
